As Christians, when we say Jesus Christ is Lord of our lives, it means more than Him being our saviour. The Hebrew and Greek words for βLordβ carry the same meaning,which includes master, caretaker, bread provider, sustainer, boss, and teacher. This is the essence of what it means for Jesus to be Lord; it means Heβs your sustainer, your master, your caretaker, your bread provider, and your teacher. If this is true, and thank God it is, then it means Heβs more than capable of taking care of you. You donβt have to beg Him to take care of you or plead with Him to provide your needs with a sense of desperation as if Heβs reluctant to do so. Such a disposition reflects a lack of understanding of who Jesus is as your Lord and Sustainer.
Read His words in Matthew 7:11, βIf ye then, being evil,know how to give good gifts unto your children: how much more shall your Father which is in heaven give good things to them that ask him?β Ponder this for a moment. You have to learn to trust the Lord and rely solely on His Word. Act on His Word. The worldβs systems are failing. In the days of Joseph, the Bible records that money failed.Inflation was rampant and the currency became worthless. But in the midst of that crisis, Godβs people experienced supernatural prosperity. Why? Their trust was in the Lord, their sustainer.
The Lord Jesus is more than able to sustain you through every season of life. Read Matthew 6:25-34 where He stresses your value and then tells you what to do and what not to do. So, act on His Word today. The triumphant life is for those who act on Godβs Word.

Dear Father, I thank you for being my Lord and Sustainer. I refuse to be anxious about anything because you're my caretaker,provider, teacher, source and sustainer. My trust is in you, and I function in supernatural prosperity as I live by your Word, in victory every day, in Jesus' Name. Amen.
