Tribute to Elder Emmanuel McCarthy
With a heavy heart, I send these words in honor of Elder Emmanuel McCarthy, A fallen hero of Our CiLGEM family.
Though I am unable to be present in person due to travel, my thoughts and prayers are with you all as we celebrate a life so richly lived and so faithfully given to the service of our church and our Lord.

Elder McCarthy was a man whose contributions to our church were truly unmatched. His unwavering commitment, wisdom, and tireless service were not just duties to him — they were acts of deep love, offered daily and humbly.

He built more than ministries; he built people. He shaped more than programs; he shaped lives. His faithfulness has left an imprint that time will never erase.

Today, we honor a life that exemplified Christlike leadership — servant-hearted, steadfast, and sacrificial. Elder McCarthy has fought the good fight, finished the race, and kept the faith.

While my absence prevents me from joining you in person, my spirit stands alongside yours in mourning, gratitude, and hope — mourning a great loss, grateful for an even greater legacy, and hopeful in the promise of eternal life through Christ.

Elder Emmanuel McCarthy, thank you. You will be dearly missed, but never forgotten.

May we all strive to live with even a fraction of the faith, love, and devotion you showed us.
Rest well, good and faithful servant, and please extend greetings to my beloved wife, Pastor Maima Blama-Johnson, and all other faithful departed. We love you, but God loves you best.
To the McCarthy families, especially Sis. Comfort and the kids, I say, take heart, find solace in the Lord. May He grant you the strength and peace as you travel through these rocky paths.
Amen and Amen!
Shalom!
George Darling Johnson, Sr. and Kids

Empowerment Booster Volume 2024 - 10
March 4 to 10, 2024
Topic: Be consistent
Text: Luke 18 : 1 - 8

Last week, we studied leading our household and family unto GOD. As believers, we are to ensure that our household come to the place of surrendering their life unto God. Abraham, Joshua, and others pointed their household to GOD. Leading our household to God shouldn't only be by mouth but by the life we live. The bible say let your life shine before men that they may see and glorify God in heaven. When the Samaritan woman met Jesus, she immediately called others to encounter Him.

Our text today talks about a judge who fears not God, nor regarded men. A widow needed justice and consistently trouble him for justice. Thou he fear not God and men but because she consistently trouble him he had no choice but to avenge her justice.
We need to be consistent in whatever we do as believers. Many times we will start to do something and after a few times we give up because we haven't seen victory. We must be consistent in our prayer lives, daily bible reading, worshipping God, fasting, etc.
In Matthew 20 : 30 - 34, the bible tells us a story about two blind men who, when Jesus passed by, called on Him to have mercy on them. The crowd rebuked them and told them to stop. However, the more they were stopped, the more they shouted. Jesus stood still and called them, and they received their sight. Their consistently to keep asking for mercy made Jesus stand still. In our lives today, once we start to plead for what belongs to us, the crowd (ourselves, friends) will tell us to be quiet and that this is not going to work. We need to learn to be consistent in whatever we do. David chooses to be consistent and ask for the reward of the person who will kill Goliath. He could have listened to his big brothers and was not going to kill Goliath, but he chose to be consistent to ask for the reward and went to the battle with God.
We must learn to be consistent in our pursuit of the things we want in our lives. Life is not going to be kind to us. Our crowd will tell us to keep quiet. We need to be consistent in what we do. Remember, the battle is not ours but the Lord. He that endure to the end will be rewarded. Put God first be consistent in your pursuit of God's plan and purpose for your life in the due season of time you will get your answer.

Conclusion: Don't listen to the crowd. Instead, be consistent with what you are doing.

Prayer: Father, help me to be consistent in doing the right thing.

Empowerment Booster Volume 2024 - 8
February 19 - 25, 2024
Topic: Obedience
Text: Luke 11 : 25

Last week we studied love, and it is important to our walk on earth. Love is the bedrock of our christianity journey. We learned that anything done outside of love is nothing. God is love, and we must also learn to love.

This week, we will look at obedience. Luke 11 : 28 says blessed are those who hear the word of God and obey it. The word of God is not meant for hearing alone but for us to live it. We must learn to obey every word of God in the bible and not be selective.
Many Christians quote the bible but refuse for the Holy Spirit to help them obey every instruction. Obedience is better sacrifice I Samuel 15 : 22. We can't afford to just hear all the messages but can obey the message. Are we obeying the word of God or just quoting them. The word of God should transform our lives. No one who encounters Jesus remains the same. How come the word of God is not transforming us Christians.
The disciples encounter Jesus and submit their lives in total obedience to GOD. We need to teach our children that obedience to the word of God is the way to succeed in this life. Any life that doesn't obey
God will end of a regret. Absolutely no one that follows God and ends of the failure. If God tells you to obey, it is for your good. It is going to benefit you and your children's lives. We can't grow to become nature Christians if we are not obeying His words.

Conclusion: Let learn to obey God as it is how we grow in the faith.

Prayer: God help me to obey every word in the Bible.
