"The priesthood is the love of the Heart of Jesus."
— St. John Mary Vianney

Today, we joyfully honour St John Mary Vianney, the humble Curé of Ars, whose life was a beautiful witness to prayer, holiness, sacrifice and faithful service. Through countless hours in the confessional, his tireless care for his parish and his deep love for the Eucharist, he became a great example of faith and hope for God's people and a model for every diocesan priest.

As the Patron Saint of Parish Priests, St. John Mary Vianney reminds us that the priesthood is more than a vocation—it is a precious gift from the Heart of Jesus. A priest is called to love, guide and serve God's people with humility and compassion.

To our beloved seminarians, may the life of St. John Mary Vianney inspire you to continue your journey of formation with faith, discipline and joyful hearts. Every prayer you offer, every sacrifice you make and every lesson you learn brings you one step closer to becoming faithful servants of Christ and His Church.

Let us also pray for all our bishops, priests, formators, and seminarians. Through the intercession of St. John Mary Vianney, may they remain faithful to their calling, grow in holiness and serve God's people with love and joy.

St. John Mary Vianney, Pray for us! 🙏

With grateful and joyful hearts, the St. Joseph Vaz Minor Seminary family celebrated its Annual Feast on 4 July 2026 at the seminary.

The Festive Holy Mass was celebrated by our Chief Guest, Rt. Rev. Dr. C. N. Emmanuel, together with diocesan and religious priests, religious sisters, seminarians and their parents. It was a beautiful celebration of faith, unity, and thanksgiving as we honoured our patron, St. Joseph Vaz, and prayed for more holy and faithful vocations to serve the Church.

On this special day, our Bishop also blessed the newly built Our Lady of Lourdes Grotto and statue in the seminary compound. May this holy place be a source of prayer, hope and peace for everyone who visits and may Our Lady of Lourdes continue to guide and protect our seminary family.

“Vocation is a sacred calling from God, inviting each of us to walk a unique path of service, love, and holiness in Christ.”

Every vocation begins with a listening heart and a willingness to follow God’s plan with faith and courage. The Lord continues to call young men and women to serve His people and to become witnesses of His love in the world.

May we continue to pray for vocations to the priesthood and religious life, that more hearts may respond generously to the voice of Christ.
