"The priesthood is the love of the Heart of Jesus."
— St. John Mary Vianney
Today, we joyfully honour St John Mary Vianney, the humble Curé of Ars, whose life was a beautiful witness to prayer, holiness, sacrifice and faithful service. Through countless hours in the confessional, his tireless care for his parish and his deep love for the Eucharist, he became a great example of faith and hope for God's people and a model for every diocesan priest.
As the Patron Saint of Parish Priests, St. John Mary Vianney reminds us that the priesthood is more than a vocation—it is a precious gift from the Heart of Jesus. A priest is called to love, guide and serve God's people with humility and compassion.
To our beloved seminarians, may the life of St. John Mary Vianney inspire you to continue your journey of formation with faith, discipline and joyful hearts. Every prayer you offer, every sacrifice you make and every lesson you learn brings you one step closer to becoming faithful servants of Christ and His Church.
Let us also pray for all our bishops, priests, formators, and seminarians. Through the intercession of St. John Mary Vianney, may they remain faithful to their calling, grow in holiness and serve God's people with love and joy.
St. John Mary Vianney, Pray for us! 🙏
