What a wonderful and enriching time of music, worship, learning and fellowship we had at St. Paulโs Church, Kandy, last week! ๐
The Vacation Music Camp brought together 24 students and 25 adults, with participants representing seven churches across Kandy. It was a beautiful opportunity for people from different churches and musical backgrounds to come together, learn from one another, and rediscover the joy of making music for worship.
During the camp, we explored:
๐ต The importance of contextualising worship music.
๐ถ Writing our own songs and hymns of worship.
๐ค Working together in groups, sharing our musical gifts and putting our renewed skills into practice as we made music together.
A very special thank you to our wonderful facilitators, Rev. Daren Paulino and Klein Fausto Emperado, for sharing their knowledge, creativity and passion for music with us. We are also deeply grateful to the Church of Ceylon, Diocese of Colombo for organising and bringing this wonderful opportunity to Kandy.
