This Masjid remains closed for the past 3 years after the Easter Sunday incident. This has caused great hardship to over 400 families and local workers who use it for their five daily prayers and the Friday prayer. Due to this closure the building and contents have been ransacked and looted and is now in a dilapidated condition. The community is at a loss to understand the reasons for the masjid being closed. Its time the the authorities look into this matter and permit the masjid to open immediately and compensate for the damage and loss due to vandalism and theft.
