🗓️ Sunday, July 12, 2026 | 15th Sunday in Ordinary Time

✝️ Holy Gospel: Matthew 13:1–23 (The Parable of the Sower)

"But as for what was sown on rich soil, this is the one who hears the word and understands it, who indeed bears fruit." — Matthew 13:23 🌾

Today, Jesus reminds us that the seed is the Word of God, and our hearts are the soil where it is planted. Let us open our hearts, remove every distraction, and allow His Word to grow within us. When we listen, believe, and live according to His teachings, our lives become a blessing to others and bear fruit for God's Kingdom.

🙏 Prayer

Lord Jesus, prepare our hearts to receive Your Word with faith. Help us to grow in Your love and bear good fruit through our words, actions, and service. Amen.

🌿 May God's Word take deep root in our hearts and transform our lives.

Holy Gospel: Matthew 11:25–30

At that time Jesus exclaimed:

“I give praise to you, Father, Lord of heaven and earth, for although you have hidden these things from the wise and the learned you have revealed them to little ones. Yes, Father, such has been your gracious will.

All things have been handed over to me by my Father. No one knows the Son except the Father, and no one knows the Father except the Son and anyone to whom the Son wishes to reveal him.

Come to me, all you who labor and are burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am meek and humble of heart; and you will find rest for yourselves. For my yoke is easy, and my burden light.”

🌿 Reflection

Jesus invites everyone who is tired, worried, and burdened to come to Him. He does not promise a life without difficulties, but He promises His presence, peace, and strength. When we carry our struggles with Christ, our burdens become lighter because we are no longer carrying them alone.

May today's Gospel remind us to trust in Jesus, remain humble, and find true rest in His loving heart. 🙏❤️

13th Sunday in Ordinary Time

"Whoever does not take up his cross and follow me is not worthy of me."

Matthew 10:38

🌿 Reflection

Today's Gospel reminds us that true discipleship begins by placing Christ above everything else. Following Jesus means trusting Him through every joy and every challenge, carrying our cross with faith, and sharing His love through even the smallest acts of kindness.

May we choose Christ each day, serve others with humble hearts, and become living witnesses of His love.

🙏 Prayer

Lord Jesus, help us to love You above all things. Give us the strength to carry our cross faithfully and the grace to serve others with compassion. May our lives always reflect Your love. Amen.

"The righteous man walks in his integrity; blessed are his children after him." - Proverbs 20:7 ✨

Today, we thank God for the priceless gift of fathers, whose love, sacrifice, and guidance reflect the heart of our Heavenly Father. Through their strength, wisdom, and unwavering devotion, they nurture families, inspire faith, and become living examples of God's love in our lives.

May the Lord bless all fathers with good health, joy, and abundant grace. May St. Joseph, the model of fatherhood, intercede for them and guide them in their sacred vocation.

📖 Sunday Gospel | Matthew 10:26–33 🕊️

📖 Today's Holy Gospel – Sunday, 21 June 2026
"Do not be afraid; you are worth more than many sparrows."

Matthew 10:31 ✨

In today's Gospel, Jesus reminds us that we are never alone. Our Heavenly Father knows us intimately and cares for us with a love beyond measure. Even in moments of fear, uncertainty, and hardship, we are called to trust in His providence and boldly witness to His truth.

May this Word encourage us to live with faith rather than fear, to place our confidence in God's loving care, and to proclaim His goodness through our words and actions every day. 🙏💙

Lord, help us to trust in You and to fear nothing, for we are precious in Your sight. ✝️

The Kingdom of God is as if a man should scatter seed on the ground..." (Mark 4:26-34) 🌾

On this 11th Sunday of Ordinary Time, we are reminded that faith doesn't need to be loud to be powerful. God takes our smallest acts of love, our quietest prayers, and our tiniest bits of faith, and multiplies them into something beautiful.

If you are feeling weary or wondering if your efforts matter, take heart. God is growing something great in your life. Trust the process, trust His timing.

📖 "Give, and it will be given to you. A good measure, pressed down, shaken together and running over, will be poured into your lap. For with the measure you use, it will be measured to you." — Luke 6:38

🗓️ Today, Saturday, June 13, 2026: The Festive Novena, Holy Mass, a short procession, and the solemn Blessing will commence at 4:30 PM at the Queen of the Holy Rosary Cathedral, Galle.

🍞 Vows & Offerings (Charity): If you have any vows to fulfill, you are warmly welcome to bring food items or refreshments to share with the congregation attending the Feast Mass.

🚫 Notice: Please note that there will be no English Mass at 5:30 PM today.

🙏 A Prayer to St. Anthony:

"O St. Anthony, gentle in heart and powerful in prayer, you who found the Christ Child in your arms, bring our needs before the Heart of Jesus."

May the intercession of St. Anthony fill our homes and hearts with faith, hope, and love. Let us come together in prayer and thanksgiving as we honor our beloved saint.

"I am the living bread which came down from heaven..." ✨

Looking down the aisle of this beautiful, sunlit sanctuary, your eyes are drawn straight to the altar and the cross at the center. It’s a peaceful reminder of where we find true nourishment.

Jesus promises us that when we receive the Living Bread, He abides in us, and we abide in Him. We don't just leave His presence at the altar; we carry His peace, His love, and His strength out into the world within our own hearts. 🥖❤️
