Welcome to the official page of Journey to the Priesthood: Vocation Ministry of the Congregation of the Blessed Sacrament, Province of Christ the Bread of Life, Sri Lanka. Welcome to the official page of Journey to the Priesthood: the Vocation Ministry of the Congregation of the Blessed Sacrament, Province of Christ the Bread of Life, Sri Lanka. Our mission, inspired by the Eucharist, is to make Christ in the Eucharist better known and loved through both prayer before the Blessed Sacrament and an active apostolic life. The Congregation of the Blessed Sacrament was founded in Paris, France, in 1856 by Saint Peter Julian Eymard. Father Eymard devoted his life to addressing the deep spiritual hungers of his time, finding the answer in the Eucharist. He inaugurated a new way of life within the Church, one completely shaped by the Eucharist celebrated, contemplated, proclaimed, and lived. Our congregation ministers in 30 countries worldwide. Here in Sri Lanka, our ministry of Eucharistic Evangelizing includes celebrating the sacraments, preaching, writing, teaching, counseling, parish ministry, working for justice, and conducting retreats. We operate retreat centers and houses of priests, all aimed at fostering a deeper devotion to the Eucharist. If you are a young man who feels God's call to become a religious priest or brother, we invite you to connect with us through this page. Together, let's strive to make the love of Christ in the Eucharist known and loved by all. For more information, please contact us;
