☸️Story of the Buddha and the gift of anger.

So the Buddha had been travelling for many days and he came to a town to give a speech. And when the Buddha was giving a speech one guy kept yelling from the back.

He kept insulting the Buddha but Buddha didn't react in anyway. And this infuriated this guy been more. And at the end he walked up to the Buddha and he said, you know, I've been shouting at you. I've been yelling and screaming and insulting you this entire time, yet you didn't pay any attention to me. How's that possible?

And the Buddha said, let me ask you a question. If you wanted to give somebody a gift but they did not accept that gift, then to whom does that give belong?

And the guy thought about and said, well, it would. Belong to me since on the giver.

And there's a valuable lesson there for everyone. That's how you deal with angry and negative toxic people. That's how you protect your energy. You just don't react. You don't accept that gift and it will remain with them, and he ends up hurting them more than it hurts you.

☸️Here's a great story about the Buddha and the arrow.

One day one of the Buddhas disciples asked the Buddha some big questions.

He asked what happens after we die and if God is real?

The Buddha was silent for a moment and then he said, imagine you're walking in the forest by yourself and all of a sudden somebody shoot a arrow and it hits you. What would you do in this situation? Would you hurry to a nearby village to seek help? To patch the wound, stop the bleeding and save your life? Or would you stay still and wonder who shot the arrow? What was the arrow made of? How fast was the arrow travelling? But would you do? And the disciple answered, or, master, of course, I would go to a nearby village to seek help to stop the bleeding. And the Buddha replied, we may not have all the answers to the mysteries of life. But one thing we do know for sure is that life has suffering. And unless we seek out the wisdom to heal our wounds, we will bleed to death wondering about things that we may never get an answer to.

☸️ Practically Engaging with Lord Buddha's Four Noble Truths in Present Times.

Lord Buddha's Four Noble Truths form the foundation of Buddhism, and they continue to be relevant and applicable even in modern times. The four truths are suffering, the cause of suffering, the cessation of suffering, and the path to the cessation of suffering. In this article, we will discuss how we can practically engage with these truths in our daily lives.

The first noble truth states that suffering exists in the world. In today's world, we are facing numerous challenges that cause us to experience suffering. Whether it's the economic crisis or personal struggles, suffering is an inevitable part of our lives. However, understanding this truth helps us to accept our suffering and find ways to cope with it.

The second noble truth states that the cause of suffering is craving and attachment. In today's world, we are bombarded with messages that encourage us to crave and be attached to material possessions, relationships, and other external factors. However, by understanding this truth, we can learn to let go of our attachments and find happiness within ourselves.

The third noble truth states that it is possible to cease suffering. In today's world, we have access to numerous resources that can help us overcome our suffering. Whether it's therapy, meditation, or other forms of self-care, we can find ways to alleviate our suffering and find inner peace.

The fourth noble truth states that the path to the cessation of suffering is the Eightfold Path. The Eightfold Path consists of right understanding, right intention, right speech, right action, right livelihood, right effort, right mindfulness, and right concentration. In today's world, we can incorporate these principles into our daily lives by practicing mindfulness, being kind to others, and living a life of purpose and meaning.

In conclusion, Lord Buddha's Four Noble Truths offer us a practical and timeless way to engage with the challenges of the modern world. By understanding and incorporating these truths into our daily lives, we can find inner peace and live a more fulfilling life.
