23rd Psalm
A short encouragement from Psalm 23, especially the part where David says:
“Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for You are with me.”
This verse is powerful because it shows us something very real about courage.
David doesn’t pretend that valleys don’t exist. He doesn’t deny the difficulty or the uncertainty. He says “even though I walk through the valley…” — meaning challenges are part of the journey.
But what makes David courageous is not his own strength, his experience, or his abilities.
His courage comes from God’s presence.
“I will fear no evil, for You are with me.”
That’s the foundation.
We need this reminder today:
Courage isn’t the absence of challenges — it’s the confidence that God walks with us through them.
Some of us might be carrying workload pressures…
Some may be navigating difficult decisions…
Some may feel stretched, tired, or unsure about the next step…
But like a Shepherd who walks with His sheep, God guides us, restores us, and protects us in every moment.
When the path feels unclear — He leads us.
When we feel drained — He restores us.
When opposition or criticism arises — He prepares a table before us.
When we worry about what’s ahead — His goodness and mercy follow us.
So our courage today doesn’t need to be loud or dramatic.
It can be quiet. Steady. Calm.
A courage that simply says:
“Because God is with me, I can walk forward.”
As we step into today’s responsibilities, let’s carry this truth in our hearts:
The Shepherd goes before us, walks beside us, and watches behind us.
We are surrounded.
We are supported.
And we can move forward with peace and boldness.
May God strengthen our hearts with this Shepherd-like courage today.
