أسبوع يفصلنا عن الحدث العظيم في حياة الكنيسة المارونية ولبنان، هو الاحتفال بتطويب البطريرك مار الياس بطرس الحويّك (1843 – 1931)، عرّاب لبنان الكبير، ورجل العناية الإلهية، ومؤسّس جمعية راهبات العائلة المقدسة، صاحب الإنجازات الكبيرة في لبنان وروما وفرنسا والقدس، المشبَّه "بأرزة قوية صلبة، دائمة النضارة التي تجسّدت فيه. فمنها صلابته، وبأسه، وقلبه الكبير الكريم، وخصبه القدير".

EN: A week separates us from the great event in the life of the Maronite Church and Lebanon: the celebration of the beatification of Patriarch Mar Elias Peter Hoayek (1843–1931), the godfather of Greater Lebanon, a man of Divine Providence, and the founder of the Maronite Sisters of the Holy Family. He was a figure of vast achievements in Lebanon, Rome, France, and Jerusalem, likened to "a strong, solid cedar tree, everlasting in freshness, which was personified in him. From it came his fortitude, his resolve, his great, generous heart, and his powerful fruitfulness."
FR: Une semaine nous sépare du grand événement dans la vie de l'Église maronite et du Liban : la célébration de la béatification du Patriarche Mar Elias Boutros Hoayek (1843–1931), parrain du Grand Liban, homme de la Divine Providence et fondateur de la Congrégation des Sœurs Maronites de la Sainte Famille. Auteur de grandes réalisations au Liban, à Rome, en France et à Jérusalem, il fut comparé à "un cèdre fort et solide, d'une fraîcheur éternelle qui s'est incarnée en lui. C'est de là que découlaient sa robustesse, sa détermination, son grand cœur généreux et sa puissante fécondité."
IT: Una settimana ci separa dal grande evento nella vita della Chiesa maronita e del Libano: la celebrazione della beatificazione del Patriarca Mar Elias Peter Hoayek (1843–1931), padrino del Grande Libano, uomo della Divina Provvidenza e fondatore della Congregazione delle Suore Maronite della Sacra Famiglia. Artefice di grandi opere in Libano, a Roma, in Francia e a Gerusalemme, fu paragonato a "un cedro forte e solido, dall'eterna freschezza che si è incarnata in lui. Da ciò derivavano la sua fortezza, la sua determinazione, il suo cuore grande e generoso e la sua potente fecondità."
