Tyre Church

Greetings everyone,

This is an update on our situation as a church. We have relocated to Beirut. All members left Tyre on either the 23rd or the 24th of September. We are still meeting every Sunday. Our focus now is to continue discipleship and follow up with the physical needs of our church, since many left with no more than a bag of clothes.
The church premises has been damaged due to the bombing surrounding it, but we will refrain from sharing pictures for safety reasons. We may have to find a different location when we go back.
Prayer points:
- The war would end soon because many of the families are without work and can’t survive much longer without aid.
- Protection over our homes in Tyre.
- We would continue evangelizing and discipleship even in the midst of a war!

Update in the midst of uncertainty!

Tyre Church is still meeting on Sundays, we have new believers and many baptisms coming up even in the midst of the turmoil! We praise God for his continued work in the darkness we are living in.
Some of the the foreigners serving with us have chosen to leave the country for their safety, but the locals have remained in Tyre to continue serving and caring for the families remaining in the south.
We need your prayers for safety and perseverance, there is fear but we will not let fear control us or stop the ministry! We hear missiles being shot almost on a daily basis now across the border.

لا تزال كنيسة صور تجتمع أيام الأحد، ولدينا مؤمنون جدد والعديد من المعمودية القادمة حتى في خضم الاضطرابات! نحمد الله على عمله المستمر في الظلام الذي نعيش فيه.

بعض الأجانب الذين يخدمون معنا قرروا مغادرة لبنان من أجل سلامتهم، لكن السكان المحليين بقوا في صور لمواصلة خدمة ورعاية العائلات المتبقية في الجنوب.

نحن بحاجة إلى صلواتكم من أجل السلامة والمثابرة، هناك خوف لكننا لن ندع الخوف يسيطر علينا أو يوقف الخدمة! نسمع الصواريخ التي يتم إطلاقها يوميا تقريبا الآن عبر الحدود.

Pray for Turkey, Syria, and Lebanon as an earthquake hit early this morning at about 4 AM. There is a lot of damage and 100s dead in Turkey and Syria!

Took our youth hiking before school starts, and we prayed over them for this schoolyear! With the financial collapse and the civil unrest these students are still going to school and university.
We also help other student in the communit with their tuition and transportation.

Pray for Lebanon during these difficult times, multiple banks were held hostage last week as Lebanese citizens demanded they withdraw their money. Banks are closing for a week in fear of more attacks. The Lebanese currency has lost more than 90% of its value since 2019, placing great financial burdens on everyone in the country!

At least eight banks were held up by depositors in Beirut and other parts of country demanding access to their money.
