✨ “Why am I here and what is my purpose?” That is probably one of the most pondered questions in human history.

Is there the possibility that, maybe, we’re all just byproducts of a reproductive ecosystem and our purpose is what we define it to be?

Maybe our parents planned to have us… Maybe we were the big “oops” they hadn’t planned for...

Makes you feel kind of small and insignificant if that is the extent of human existence.

But, what if, in a much larger picture, we are all part of a perfect plan by a perfect designer who never makes mistakes and created us with a unique purpose that only we can fulfill?

That is the topic up for discussion this Thursday night at Unleashed.

Join us at 6PM in the ARISE Beirut Lounge, or hop on Google Meet, as we share perspectives and uncover the answers of why we are here.

See you there!

Is there a point when God walks away from you and removes His mercy from your life?

That is a terrifying thought, but it’s a question that I think anyone who believes in God wrestles with at some point in their life.

Even King David wrestled with this question at an extreme level after his rendezvous with Bathsheba. A powerful king, literally clawing at his couch in tears, pleading with God not to take away His Spirit or cast him from His presence. (Psalm 51:11)

So it’s not so much a lack of faith that raises this question in people’s minds… it’s our nature to fear that we have gone one step too far and there’s no going back.

Deciphering the answer, however, can be difficult… but we’re going to take a stab at it during our Thursday night meet up.

Humanity is redeemed by Jesus through acceptance and repentance… Hidden in Him through selfless love and obedience… believing that He is the only Way to God, the only Truth and the only way to eternal Life…

That is it… That is the simplicity of the message Jesus came to teach.

It can be summed up in the following 7 verses of the Bible…

“For all have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God, yet all are justified freely by his grace through the redemption that came by Christ Jesus.” (Romans 3:23, 24)

“Whoever conceals their sins does not prosper, but the one who confesses and renounces them finds mercy.” (Proverbs‬ ‭28‬:‭13‬)

“Therefore, there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus,”. (Romans‬ ‭8‬:‭1‬)

“If anyone is in Christ, they are a new creation: The old has gone, the new is here!” (Corinthians‬ ‭5‬:‭17‬)

“Now this is eternal life: that they know you, the only true God, and Christ Jesus whom you have sent.” (John‬ ‭17‬:‭3‬)

“I have come that they might have life, and have it to the fullest.” (John 10:10)

That’s the beauty of God! He didn’t make it complicated, He just said “surrender”… Give your life to me and I will give you a new start with a new heart… and I will fight for you, because I love you beyond any human comprehension.

If you have never heard or fully understood the plan of salvation and feel God’s Spirit reaching out for your heart as you read this, then tell Him that you need Him. Tell Him that you want to know Him more.

🔥 What defines the core of who you are? Is it your status, possessions or family? Or is there something hidden inside of you that is so beautiful and resilient that it would shine through the darkest battles, even if everything you had was taken away?

Could you endure the fight if your world collapsed around you?

What do you hold on to that the world can never steal?

Who will you be if it all falls away?

These are the questions we will be tackling together in this week’s “Unleashed” Life Group as we share insights and pieces of our own personal story that may have shaped who we are and who we know we will be in any storm.

Join us on 7 May at 6PM in the ARISE Beirut Lounge as we dive into some meaningful conversations on this topic. If you are unable to make it in-person, jump on Google Meet and be a part of the discussion from home!

🔥 Forgiveness is the power to start over, given by the one who forgives to the one who regrets. It is a return to innocence… an undoing of the past.

If you still have the desire to change, then you haven’t gone too far. All that God wants is a heart that desires rebirth. That is the chance He offers… The one that He died to give. Don’t let it slip away… 🤍

💫 Should love need to be earned? I think we would all agree that it shouldn’t, so why does it so often seem like it does?

Maybe you come from a home where, no matter how hard you tried, you never really felt loved by your mother or father. Maybe you faced this in a relationship, or only felt loved if you kept up with a certain list of requirements.

These are challenges that many people face and it can sometimes cause them to wonder, “does God’s love need to be earned also?”

This is our discussion this week, and it’s an important one, especially for anyone who is struggling with believing that they can ever truly earn God’s love.

I’m looking forward to having some great conversations with you guys on this topic.

See you Thursday!

The love God gives freely can never be earned. Jesus came down from Heaven with one main goal; to seek and to save the lost so that He could restore our relationship with God and lead us into eternity…

He did the work for us by paying the ultimate price and enduring our punishment for us. He knew we could never do it without Him, and no amount of striving or sacrifice can ever add to that or buy our salvation.

He always meant for it to be a gift because His love for us is infinite. ✨
