“The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom: and the knowledge of the holy is understanding.” - Proverbs 9:10 KJV

We usually think of education as learning more, getting better grades, or gaining skills for the future. But the Bible gives us a much bigger purpose.

The fear of God is the objective of true education.

In Proverbs 2:1–5, we are told to listen to God’s Word, search for wisdom, and seek understanding. Why? So that we can know the Lord.

You can know a lot of facts and still not know God.

True education is not just about filling our heads with knowledge. It should teach us who God is, help us understand His Word, and lead us to respect and obey Him.

The more we learn about God, the more we should recognise who He is and humble ourselves before Him.

That is where true wisdom begins.

Romans 11 reminds us that God has not forgotten Israel. Even when many rejected Christ, God remained faithful to His promises and continued working through a faithful remnant.

The remnant wasn't the majority. But God was still working through them.

And that gives us something to think about.

As believers, our obedience matters. When we choose to follow God's Word, stand for what is right, and live out our faith consistently, our lives can cause others to stop and consider the truth.

Sometimes the greatest testimony isn't what we say. It's what people see when we choose to obey God when everyone else is going the other way.

You may feel like you're standing alone.
You may wonder if your faithfulness makes a difference.
You may not see the impact of your obedience.

But God can use a faithful life to point someone else toward Christ.

So here's the question:

Could your faithfulness point someone else to Christ?

Prayer is more than a religious duty. It is a privilege.

Through Jesus Christ, we have been given access to the very presence of God. We do not have to approach Him with fear or uncertainty. As His children, we are invited to come boldly before His throne of grace.

What an incredible privilege to bring our praises, burdens, needs, fears, and petitions directly to our Heavenly Father.

Yet how often do we treat prayer as a last resort rather than our first response?

𝐖𝐞 𝐡𝐚𝐯𝐞 𝐚𝐧 𝐨𝐩𝐞𝐧 𝐢𝐧𝐯𝐢𝐭𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐟𝐫𝐨𝐦 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐊𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐨𝐟 𝐊𝐢𝐧𝐠𝐬. 𝐖𝐡𝐲 𝐰𝐨𝐮𝐥𝐝 𝐰𝐞 𝐧𝐞𝐠𝐥𝐞𝐜𝐭 𝐬𝐮𝐜𝐡 𝐚 𝐩𝐫𝐢𝐯𝐢𝐥𝐞𝐠𝐞?

Take time today to pray. Not simply because we need something from God, but because we have the privilege of coming into His presence.

The harvest of souls begins with the faithful proclamation of the Gospel. Romans 10 reminds us that God has given us a message to proclaim and that those who have heard the truth have a responsibility to respond to it.

Hearing the Word of God is never meant to leave us unchanged. The truth we hear should stir us to action. It should burden us for the lost, strengthen our faith, bring us to repentance, and warn us against hardening our hearts toward God.

As we consider the importance of hearing in the harvest of souls, may we ask ourselves:

𝐖𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐚𝐫𝐞 𝐰𝐞 𝐝𝐨𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐰𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐰𝐞 𝐡𝐚𝐯𝐞 𝐡𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐝?

Have we heard the Gospel and trusted Christ as our Saviour?
Have we heard God's Word and allowed it to change us?
Have we heard the command to reach the lost, yet remained silent?

The Gospel is still the power of God unto salvation, and there are still souls who need to hear.

May we be willing to hear, ready to respond, and faithful to proclaim.
