Ecclesiastes 7:14

Adversity can be our greatest motivation for growth or our deadliest source of discouragement.
The difference lies in our understanding of God’s purpose.

How we respond to adversity determines whether it works for good or evil in our lives.

- God could have kept Daniel out of the lions’ den, but He did not.
- He could have kept Paul and Silas out of jail, but He did not.
- He could have kept the three Hebrew children out of the fiery furnace, but He did not.

Some lessons in life can only be learned during days of adversity and not during days of prosperity.
Faith and courage will surely sustain you in times of adversity.

Be strong and courageous, and face the future with God’s mercy and help.

A happy, healthy and lasting relationship is possible.
Happiness is a by-product that requires effort and time.
No amount of success can compensate for failure in the home.
We are inviting all couples; newly wed, married, unmarried, and living together. This seminar is for you!

The devil’s plan is to get you confused about your identity. He will sow doubt on you to the degree that you are uncertain about your sonship like what he did to Jesus” in Matthew 4:3

Under the "law covenant", God was our Master.
Under the "Abrahamic covenant", God is our Friend.
But under the "new covenan in Jesus blood", God is our Father.

John 15:15 No longer do I call you servants, for the servant does not know what his master is doing; but I have called you friends, for all that I have heard from my Father I have made known to you.

And because you are sons, God has sent the Spirit of his Son into our hearts, crying, “Abba! Father!” So you are no longer a slave, but a son, and if a son, then an heir through God. (Galatians 4:6-7)

God is your Father and my Father too.
- Yes I serve Him and yes He is my closest friend.
- But service and friendship flows from my secure position as His child.

Today not tomorrow, now not later!
• The Pharaoh who ruled Egypt was a man who repeated his mistakes over and over again and got pretty comfortable in his misery.
EXODUS 8 God sends frogs to Egypt.
- The people can’t lie down to sleep because their bed is covered with frogs.
- They can’t eat because frogs are everywhere in their kitchens.
Finally Pharaoh calls for Moses and Aaron and says, “Ask your God to take the frogs away!”
• Moses says, “When do you want me to do that?”
• And Pharaoh in the hardness of his heart says, “Tomorrow.”

• He preferred to sleep with the frogs one more night, than to humble himself, repent and learn from his mistakes.

Let us not get comfortable in our misery!

In any given moment we have two options:
- To step forward into growth
- Or step back into safety.

Transition is never easy but sometimes it's necessary.
- In Life's journey there will be times of transition.
Don't confuse these times of transition as a forever state of one's life.
- Transition means you are breaking away from what was, creating space to welcome what will be.

Everything has a time and a season.
- Don’t try to recreate memories when their season has ended.
- Honor history by letting it go.
When we try to recreate the past we can mess up the memories.
- Don’t try to revive something that God has retired…

"In times of desperation and grief, it's easy to lose sight of God's good and gracious purpose. From our limited perspective, we may not understand what He is doing—but that does not mean He has abandoned us. On the contrary, God often works through our struggles to unfold a greater plan, both for us and through us.

The greatest expression of faith is not found in witnessing miracles, but in trusting God even when we cannot see the outcome.

So trust Him—trust in His promises, for He is a good God and a loving heavenly Father."

Your tears before God were never wasted they may dry up where they fall, but they do not dry up before God

Psalms 56:8 You keep track of all my sorrows. You have collected all my tears in your bottle. You have recorded each one in your book.

- God is near in our hurt.
- The God of the universe, hearing millions of prayers at any given time, is aware of every tear that leaves your eyes.
- God has design tears as a way to unload
the burden of the heart, mind, and soul.
- You may not feel anyone else cares, but God cares.
- He loves you so much that He even keep records of all your sorrows and collected your tears in his bottle up there in heaven.

Our time in service will not make us any more saved than those who answer his call on their deathbeds.
Matthew 20:1-16 Workers in the Vineyard.
When Jesus returns to set up his kingdom, there will be a hard reset.

- Each will receive the gift of God, eternal life in Christ Jesus (Romans 6:23).
- No one deserves this gift. It is a gift.
That is why it will not matter how many hours you work in the vineyard.

- Our salvation is based on the fact the landowner sought us out.
- Whether he found us first thing in the morning or just an hour before quitting time is irrelevant.
- We are saved because of the shepherd seeking out lost sheep.

Our God is seeking the lost even today. Some of us have been working hard for him for decades, but our time in service will not make us any more saved than those who answer his call on their deathbeds.
- Our conversion is not a work we perform for him.
"It is an act of grace by him."

Your First Direction Might Be Wrong!
It's time to change course and reroute.

David, a man after God's own heart was in the cave of Adullam.
- He lost almost everything except his life.
- It's bad to be in the cave alone, worst if God would bring people who are in distress, in debt, and mistreated and ask you to be their captain.
1Samuel 22:1-2

When GOD brings us to the cave it is not to end our life but to allow us to change course, change direction or reroute.

Perhaps you are in the cave right now:
-You’ve lost your job.
- under financial pressure
- your business is heading towards bankruptcy,
- your dreams about family life have been shattered
- there was a relationship you counted on, and now it is gone.
- or you have lost your health.
- You do not want anybody to be with you in that situation.

Our failure is not God’s failure.
All we have to do is believe, have faith and wait for His instruction.

Remember that God does some of his best work in molding and shaping human lives in the caves.

Even the greatest miracle- the resurrection of Jesus was done in the cave.

We live in a world where people leave.
Sometimes they leave us when they die.
Sometimes they personally choose to go.

In most cases we're not ready for them to leave... So we feel abandoned and neglected.

Jesus knew the feeling of being left alone. So He promised us not to leave us nor forsake us (HEBREWS 13:5).
We should not be disappointed or despair if in the hour of trial we are deserted by the best of friends.
-From Gethsemane to the cross Jesus was alone - alone amidst such many people.
> When he cried," I thirst," no friend gave him a drink except a Roman soldier; not water nor cola, it’s vinegar.
> The desertion of his weak friends, the betrayal of Judas, the denial of Peter and the flight of his friends were more painful than all the nails in his hands and feet.

True fellowship with the Father by faith in Christ can preserve us from utter loneliness.
Remember that when deserted by friends and even love ones, God comes nearest to us.
The least of man the most of God, often; furthest from earth the nearest to heaven.

We shouldn’t judge a person by what they choose to share about their life.
-People show different sides of themselves around different people.
What you know in them is what they allow you to see.

- Many have gone through their own suffering. They have experienced loss, divorce, miscarriages, bullying, loneliness, depression, breakups and pain.
- Most of us keep that part a secret, because society has taught us to “tough it out” and “stay strong”. So those that are struggling often don’t share the full extent of their pain.

Let us accept that we all have our own unique journey in life.
- So we have no right to tell others how to feel.
Our pain, our truths, our stories- they are all unique and all deserve to be respected and heard.
- Others may not agree with our feelings, but that does not make our feelings any less valid.

- If someone bravely shares something private and difficult to share, then express kindness and empathy.
Do not turn a blind eye to their pain or tell them what they should or shouldn’t say or feel.

Life is hard enough. Choose kindness over being judgemental.
We don’t know what burdens people are carrying, but we can help them unload that baggage if we assume less and open our minds and heart more.

Never judge a person unless you’ve walked a mile in their shoes.

Life is messy, and that’s okay.
The mess is where the growth happens.
It is like when you pray for rain, you gotta deal with the mud too.
-The rain nourishes the earth, but it creates mud too.

Rain is life-giving.
When we pray for rain, we’re praying for growth, for renewal, for abundance.
- Mud is messy, dirty, and inconvenient.
Mud makes the path harder to navigate.
-But mud is also fertile it is where new life begins to take root.
- The mud reminds us that nothing worth having comes without sacrificing.

Mud might slow you down, but it doesn’t have to stop you.
You take one step at a time.
Focus on the progress, no matter how small,
and trust that you’re moving in the right direction.

Life isn’t about avoiding the mud, it's about finding joy and meaning in the midst of the mess.
-It’s in the mud that we discover our strength, our resilience, and our purpose in life.

“You pray for rain, you gotta deal with the mud too. That’s a part of it.” And that’s what makes it all worthwhile.
Don’t let the mud make you forget why you prayed for rain in the first place.

Pray to God and don't forget to bring an umbrella with you!

John 16:33 ... In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.”
