📌 Management Benchmarking Visit 🤝✨

Our management team from St. Patrick’s Self-Help Group Thika and Mary Immaculate Conception Gicharani Self-Help Group in Kikuyu had a valuable and insightful benchmarking visit. The experience was both enriching and impactful, as the management shared ideas and best practices on how to bring positive change to our members and both groups.

Dear Team,
We are excited to share our achievements from the 1st Round Meeting for 16 Self Help Groups in Thika Zone under Caritas Nairobi ! We proudly secured 2nd place overall, earning the 1st Runner-Up position.

Additionally, we were honored with the prestigious Zone Award trophy and received six certificates in the following categories:

1. 3rd Best SHG in Management and Governance
2. 2nd Best SHG in Mentorship
3. 3rd Best SHG in Credit Management
4. 3rd Best SHG in Member Mobilization and Recruitment
5. 3rd Most Innovative SHG

St. Patrick's Catholic Church Self Help Group (Thika), operating under Caritas Nairobi in the Archdiocese of Nairobi, is actively engaged in Corporate Social Investment (CSI) projects to uplift the community. One of its key initiatives is at Queen of Rosary Comprehensive School, where the group has successfully undertaken the construction of a kitchen and two Rocket Jikos, which are highly efficient in fuel consumption.

Currently, in collaboration with Caritas Nairobi Thika Zone, the group is working on constructing an additional Rocket Jiko, an incinerator, and a firewood storage shed. These efforts aim to improve sustainability, enhance environmental conservation, and support the school's infrastructure, aligning with the group's mission of socio-economic empowerment and community development.
