1. THE BIG QUESTION
Are we truly serving God, or are we just taking up space? ❓
In a world obsessed with titles, authority, and being served, today’s service anchored us back to a profound, kingdom-altering truth: True greatness in the Kingdom of God is always shaped like a towel.
Real greatness in God's kingdom is always shaped like a towel. [John 13:14-15]
God is our KURIOS—the supreme Ruler who owns everything we have. [Psalm 24:1 (NIV)"The earth is the Lord’s, and everything in it, the world, and all who live in it;
"Matthew 28:18 (NIV)"Then Jesus came to them and said, 'All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to Me.'”
Genesis 2:7 — "Then the Lord God formed a man from the dust of the ground and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life...
"Luke 19:40 — "“I tell you,” he replied, “if they keep quiet, the stones will cry out.”"
Ephesians 2:10 — "For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works..."
Colossians 3:23 — "Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for human masters..."
God is our DIDASKALOS—the ultimate Teacher who guides our path. 📖
Our true identity is DOULOS—a servant who gives up their own plans for the King.
🟢Three honest questions we must answer today:
⁉️DO YOU KNOW HIM? (Relationship)
⁉️DO YOU BELIEVE HIM? (Faith)
⁉️WILL YOU SERVE HIM? (Surrender)
2. WHAT FAITHFUL SERVICE ATTRACTS
Serving God is never useless. True service brings three powerful responses from heaven:
[I] DIVINE BLESSINGS 🌾
When you serve, God takes care of your needs.
When you worship and serve Him, He blesses your daily food and water. [Exodus 23:25]
He protects your health and removes sickness from your house.
[II] DIVINE REMEMBRANCE
God does not forget your hard work and love. [Hebrews 6:10]
The Mordecai Principle: People may ignore your loyalty, but God will move leaders to honor you at the right time. [Esther 6]
✨The Tabitha Principle: When you spend your life helping others, God will send people to pray for you when you are down. [Acts 9]
[III] A LASTING NAME
A good reputation is worth more than money. [Proverbs 22:1]
Your service will make your name a good example (like Eliezer) or a warning (like Judas).
📍THE FIVE LAWS OF A SERVANT
The story of Abraham's servant in Genesis 24 shows us how a true servant works:
1️⃣ ACCEPT THE CHALLENGE [Genesis 24:3, 9]
He chose a difficult, dangerous journey over staying comfortable at home.
2️⃣ FOLLOW INSTRUCTIONS [Genesis 24:9]
He made a serious promise to do exactly what his master wanted.
3️⃣ PRAY FOR GUIDANCE [Genesis 24:12-14]
He did not depend on his own skills; he stopped and asked God for help. 🌱
4️⃣ WAIT PATIENTLY [Genesis 24:21]
He stayed quiet and watched to see how God would work out the timing.
5️⃣ FINISH THE JOB [Genesis 24:66]
He did not stop until the mission was completely finished and handed over.
✝️ JESUS IS THE ULTIMATE EXAMPLE!!
Jesus Christ is the perfect example of a servant. 🌟
He holds all authority in heaven and earth, yet He chose total humility. [Matthew 28:18] ⚡
Before He died, the Master of the universe took off His outer robe and tied a towel around His waist. 🦶
He knelt down and washed the dirty feet of His disciples—even the ones who would betray Him.
He showed us that real power is about cleaning up messes and helping people.
Jesus commands us in John 13:14-15: "Since I, your Lord and Teacher, have washed your feet, you ought to wash each other's feet."
True greatness is not about how many people look up to you, but how low you can go to lift others up.
