Let those who rejoice at my misfortune be disgraced and humiliated; let those who magnify themselves over me be clothed with shame and reproach.

The Bible verse Acts 5:29 says, "We must obey God rather than men". This verse is part of a passage where Peter and the apostles respond to a situation by prioritizing obedience to God over human approval.

Explanation
The Bible encourages people to focus on pleasing God rather than people. This means putting God's approval before human recognition. The Bible also says that God alone examines people's hearts.

Some other Bible verses that relate to pleasing God:
Galatians 1:10: "For am I now seeking the approval of man, or of God?"

1 Thessalonians 2:4: "But just as we have been approved by God to be entrusted with the gospel, so we speak, not to please man, but to please God"

Colossians 3:23: "Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord and not for men"

In the historical context of Colossae, this instruction would have been countercultural. It encouraged believers to find their identity and worth in Christ alone.

In 2025,

May you thrive where you survived,
May you laugh where you cried,
May you overcome the obstacles that hindered your progress,
May your physical health & mental health flourish,
May you rise above the challenges you’ll encounter,
May you remain hopeful in the place of discouragement,
May you win in places you’ve lost,
May you find favor with both humans & God,
May you find authentic, genuine & true love & support, both in your personal life & professional life,
More than happiness may you find unfathomable joy,
May you find contentment & gratitude even in the small things that life has to offer,
May you grow & expand financially & most importantly spiritually,
May your prayers & heart desires be answered according to the will of God.

In the mighty name of Jesus Christ I pray & commit 2025 to your hands my Lord & Savior. Amen.

BLESSED NEW YEAR MY FRIEND❤️
