Topic: FAITH FOR MIRACLE RESTORATION
Introduction: The Message of the Bible is Jesus
Jesus gave His disciples a summary of the entire Bible after His resurrection. He taught that all Scripture points to Him and His redemptive work.
Luke 24:44β46
He said to them, βThis is what I told you while I was still with you: Everything must be fulfilled that is written about me in the Law of Moses, the Prophets and the Psalms.βThen he opened their minds so they could understand the Scriptures. He told them, βThis is what is written:The Messiah will suffer and rise from the dead on the third day.β
Jesus revealed that the central message of the Bible is His life, death, and resurrection. The Scriptures testify of Him from Genesis to Revelation.
Luke 24:47βand repentance for the forgiveness of sins will be preached in his name to all nations, beginning at Jerusalem.β
The purpose of Christ's coming was to bring salvation to humanity and restore mankind to fellowship with God.
Godβs Original Plan for Humanity
God is our Father, and He desires a relationship with His children. In His love,He created a home for humanity and provided everything necessary for life and fellowship with Him.He created mankind in His image and gave us the freedom to choose to love and obey Him.God created us for Himself,He desires to dwell with us and work through us.
The Fall and God's Plan of Restoration
In the Garden of Eden, mankind sinned and fell from God's glory.Sin separated humanity from God.However,God did not abandon His creation. He sent prophets to prepare the way,and ultimately He came Himself through Jesus Christ.
Jesus came preaching the Kingdom of God and demonstrating the Father's love. Through His death and resurrection, He made a way for humanity to be restored to God. After His ascension, He sent the Holy Spirit so that His presence could be available to believers everywhere.
Our Bodies Belong to the Lord
The believer's life is meant to be surrendered to God.
1 Corinthians 6:16 Do you not know that he who unites himself with a pr******te is one with her in body? For it is said,βThe two will become one flesh.β
While this verse addresses purity, the broader teaching of the chapter reminds believers that their bodies belong to the Lord and are to be used for His glory. God desires fellowship with us and wants His presence to be demonstrated through our lives.
The Holy Spirit Works Through Believers
God's plan is not only to save us but also to work through us. The Holy Spirit manifests His power through believers so that the world may see God's goodness and glory.
Many people seek healing, deliverance and restoration; but God's desire is that His children become channels through which others receive healing, encouragement, and blessing.
Every believer has a purpose. God wants His Spirit to be demonstrated through our lives.
The Manifestation of the Holy Spirit
When a person is born again, the Holy Spirit comes to dwell within them. However, believers must continually yield themselves to the Spirit and allow Him to work through them.
1 Corinthians 12:7 Now to each one the manifestation of the Spirit is given for the common good. The Holy Spirit gives gifts to believers so they can serve others and glorify God.
1 Corinthians 12:9 to another faith by the same Spirit, to another gifts of healing by that one Spirit,
These gifts are available through the Holy Spirit and are intended for building up the Church and the advancement of God's Kingdom.
The Power of Being Filled with the Holy Spirit
In Acts chapter 2:4 the disciples were filled with the Holy Spirit and experienced supernatural manifestations, including speaking in tongues. This was the fulfillment of Jesus' promise that believers would receive power from on high.
When believers are filled with the Holy Spirit, they receive spiritual strength, boldness, and greater sensitivity to God's voice.
Building Yourself Up Spiritually
One way believers strengthen their spiritual lives is through praying in the Spirit.
1 Corinthians 14:4 He that speaketh in an unknown tongue edifieth himself; but he that prophesieth edifieth the church.
The word edifieth means to build up or strengthen. As believers spend time in prayer and fellowship with God, they grow stronger spiritually and become more effective in serving Him.
The Holy Spirit helps believers pray according to God's will and empowers them to walk victoriously in their Christian journey.
Conclusion
Faith for miracle restoration begins with understanding God's purpose for humanity. Through Jesus Christ, God has restored our relationship with Him and given us the Holy Spirit. As believers, we are called not only to receive God's blessings but also to become vessels through which His power, healing, love, and restoration flow to others.
May we continually seek the fullness of the Holy Spirit, stir up the gifts within us, and allow God to demonstrate His power through our lives for His glory.
