Thika Parish joyfully held a vibrant and successful Games & Sports Day in the afternoon at our sister congregation, Methi. It was a wonderful time of fellowship, unity, and youthful energy

The Parish Minister, Rev. Benjamin Mbugua, officially launched the Youth Week, marking the beginning of a series of engaging activities aligned with our annual church calendar.

We were honored by the presence of Youth Patron Elder George Kiama, alongside many enthusiastic youth and members who came out in great numbers to support and participate.

YOUTH SERVICE – 15TH MARCH 2025

Welcome to our Youth Service today! The theme for the day was “Old School Attire.”

This unique theme gave us an opportunity to reflect on the real life our parents and grandparents lived and the simple styles they wore.

It was exciting and inspiring to see the youths dressed in different old-school outfits during the service. The atmosphere was lively as we remembered and appreciated the past.

We also showcased some of the items that made life easier in those days, including bicycles, paraffin lamps, chondo, and many others that symbolized the lifestyle of earlier generations.

It was a wonderful moment of learning, fun, and appreciation of our heritage. Thank you to all the youths who participated and made the day colorful and memorable.
