2Pet1:2-4 Grace and peace be multiplied unto you through the knowledge of God, and of Jesus our Lord, According as his divine power hath given unto us all things that pertain unto life and godliness, through the knowledge of him that hath called us to glory and virtue: Whereby are given unto us exceeding great and precious promises: that by these ye might be partakers of the divine nature.
The divine nature or the supernatural answers to your knowledge of God. How well you know God, determines the supernatural you enjoy. Who is God? The bible is summarized into three words; God is love, 1Jh4:16. The day you understand how much God loves you, you'll begin to enjoy the supernatural. Your love for God is very important however it's not as important as God's love for you. What you don't know is literally destroying you.
The Love OF God is what most people are not acquainted with. They acquaint with how much they need to love God and when they feel that they've not done enough, they start condemning themselves. They think that Christianity is about how much they do for Christ forgetting that the root of Christianity is first believing what Christ did for them. What Jesus did for us supersedes what we do for Him. What we do for Jesus has to be done by faith and as a body of Christ we should never boast or depend on it but our trust should always be on Jesus, Eph2:9. Never go before God based on what you did, approach God based on what Jesus did. You can't mix the two. You can't mix old wine skin with new wine; This confusion has made many in the body of Christ burst.
Rom5:8-10 But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. Much more then, being now justified by his blood..
God loved you before you were born, He loved you before you sinned, He loved you even after you had sinned and now you have accepted Him He loves you much much more. But that's not what most Christians believe. They think God loves them less, when they feel they've not done enough. God loved you not because you deserved it or because you were lovely, but because God is love and He sent His only begotten Son to die for you, Jh3:16. When He found you, you were filthy and a child of the devil by nature, yet He loved you. And now being justified by the blood of Jesus, much more does He love you.
The supernatural power to heal, to deliver and to prosper is already inside us but it does not automatically happen because there are laws that govern how the power of God flows, Rom3:27; The law of Faith.
First of all, Faith comes by hearing the word of God. You can't have faith for what you haven't heard preached. You got to hear the word of God. The second hearing is understanding. Paul prayed that the eyes of your understanding being enlightened. Eph1:18. You got to meditate and engage deep thoughts in the word. Not just surface thoughts. Some people look at internalizing and imagining things as a waste of time. It's just the opposite.
Secondly, Faith is voice activated. Jesus said speak to fig trees, speak to mountains, speak to anything mocking you and command the positive in your life, Mk11:23. Anything you speak to whether animate or inanimate, will respond. Words have power. Your tongue carries both death and life, Prov18:21. It not only says life, but death as well. Unfortunately most words being communicated by many today are negative words. The bible says write the word of God upon the table of thine heart, Prov7:1-3. How do you write into your heart? Using your tongue. Ps45:1 ..my tongue is the pen of a ready writer.
Jesus said whosoever shall say. This was no limited to pastors. Anyone that believes has the same power as God, 1Jh4:17. The same power and faith in Jesus, is the same faith in you, Gal2:20. Jesus said, When you approach God don't be as the hypocrites for they love pray, Matt6:5. But be real with God. Talk to God like He is a real person and when praying have the right attitude, Matt6:8. In your spirit man, God created you in His very nature. You're actually equal with God in your spirit, 1Jh4:17. You're joined and one spirit with God, 1Cor6:17. Jesus said don't beg God for bread, Matt6:11. Tell Him, give me. Your children don't beg for breakfast. God loves bold children. To command the supernatural, I don't beg God I take my rights and inheritances.
