✨ “Called to Serve at the Holy Altar” ✨

With hearts full of thanksgiving and joy, the faithful gathered at St. Charalambos Orthodox Church in the Diocese of Kisumu and Western Kenya for the celebration of the Divine Liturgy and the sacred ordination into the Holy Deaconate of Deacon Kyprianos.

The holy service was concelebrated by His Grace Bishop Philippos of Kisumu and Western Kenya together with His Grace Bishop Panaretos, in a beautiful manifestation of unity, grace, and apostolic tradition within the Holy Orthodox Church.

With the blessings and presence of His Grace Bishop Philippos of Kisumu and Western Kenya, His Grace Bishop Panaretos today ordained Andreas into the Holy Diaconate, receiving the name Deacon Kyprianos. May the Lord grant him strength, wisdom, and a fruitful ministry in service to His Holy Church. Axios!.

As Deacon Kyprianos received the grace of the diaconate, the Church rejoiced in witnessing another servant being called to minister before the Holy Altar and serve God’s people with humility, faith, and love. May the Lord strengthen him, guide his ministry, and grant him many blessed years in His vineyard.

✨ A Visit of Brotherhood and Remembrance ✨

His Grace Bishop Panaretos was warmly received by His Grace Bishop Philippos of Kisumu and Western Kenya during a fraternal visit filled with love, unity, and spiritual fellowship. With heartfelt gratitude, Bishop Panaretos expressed his sincere appreciation for the warm welcome and brotherly hospitality extended to him.

The two hierarchs later paid a solemn visit to the resting place of the late Bishop Athanasius Akunda of blessed memory, offering prayers and honoring his enduring legacy of faith, service, and dedication to the Church.

During the official opening and blessing of the residence of Fr. Philotheos, the faithful gathered in great numbers to witness a truly joyous and historic occasion in the life of the Church. The ceremony, presided over by His Grace Bishop Panaretos, was marked by prayer, thanksgiving, and deep spiritual significance.
In his address, His Grace expressed gratitude to God for the growth of the Church and commended Fr. Philotheos for his tireless dedication, humility, and unwavering commitment to pastoral service. He reminded the faithful of the importance of supporting their clergy, who labor day and night for the spiritual nourishment of the flock entrusted to them.
A highlight of the occasion was the elevation of Fr. Philotheos to the esteemed office of Protopresbyter (Proto). This honor, bestowed by His Grace, is a recognition of his faithful service, exemplary leadership, and devotion to the Holy Church. The congregation received this announcement with great joy, glorifying God for His blessings upon His servant.
Furthermore, in the same spirit of celebration, His Grace Bishop Panaretos officially announced the appointment of Fr. Philotheos as the Dean of the Laikipia Deanery. This new responsibility entrusts him with greater pastoral oversight and coordination among the parishes within the deanery, a role that reflects the confidence the Church has in his spiritual guidance and administrative ability.
The event concluded with prayers for continued strength, wisdom, and good health for Fr. Philotheos as he embraces these new responsibilities. The faithful present expressed their heartfelt congratulations and pledged their support, asking God to grant him many years of fruitful and blessed service in His holy vineyard.

With hearts full of joy and thanksgiving to God, the Divine Liturgy was celebrated in Laikipia Deanery, officiated by His Grace Bishop Panaretos. During this blessed service, Fr. With great joy and thanksgiving to God, we announce the forthcoming ordination to the Holy Priesthood of Deacon Athanasios Kibura, to be held on 18th April 2026 in Laikipia.

The sacred service will be officiated by His Grace Bishop Panaretos, as Deacon Athanasios is called to a higher ministry in the service of Christ and His Church.

We invite all the faithful to join in prayer and celebration, asking the Lord to grant him wisdom, strength, and grace as he undertakes this blessed calling.

✨ CHRIST IS RISEN! ✨

With hearts full of joy and thanksgiving, the faithful gathered at St. Mathew Orthodox Church Makengi for the glorious Pascha Vigil, officiated by His Grace Bishop Panaretos.

In the stillness of the holy night, the light of the Resurrection shone forth, illuminating the church and the hearts of all present as the victorious proclamation was declared: Christ is Risen! Truly He is Risen! May the joy of Pascha continue to shine in our lives and homes.
