🕊️ “Choose This Day Whom You Will Serve” (Joshua 24:14–15)

This morning, the St. John Orthodox Senior School Thunguri community was richly blessed during morning prayers led by His Grace Bishop Panaretos, alongside the school chaplain Fr. Cyprian Githinji. In a spirit of reverence and reflection, the school gathered to begin the day anchored in faith and purpose.

Drawing from Joshua 24:14–15, the message powerfully reminded students and staff that life is shaped by the choices we make. A spiritual decision is not made by pressure or convenience, but through faith, obedience, and trust in God. Just as Joshua boldly declared, “As for me and my house, we will serve the Lord,” the school community was encouraged to consciously choose God in their studies, conduct, and future paths.

It was a timely and uplifting call to walk steadfastly with God in a world full of competing voices, choosing integrity over compromise, faith over fear, and purpose over distraction. May this message continue to guide St. John Orthodox Senior School as a beacon of godly choices and excellence. ✨

🌅 Anchored in Purpose: Morning Prayers at Ngoru Orthodox Senior School 🌅

This morning, Ngoru Orthodox Senior School was richly blessed as we gathered for morning prayers graced by His Grace Bishop Panaretos, alongside our chaplain Fr. Maximos Njure. As the new school year officially opens, the atmosphere was filled with reverence, hope, and renewed strength, setting a firm spiritual foundation for the journey ahead.

Drawing from Jeremiah 1:4–10, His Grace delivered a timely and uplifting message, reminding our learners and staff that our destiny is known to God even before we are formed. Each student was encouraged to embrace their God-given calling with courage, discipline, and faith, trusting that the Lord equips those He sends.

As we begin this academic calendar, we do so with clarity of purpose and confidence in God’s plan. May this message continue to inspire our school community to walk boldly, serve faithfully, and strive for excellence in all things. 🙏✨

✨ A Celebration of Faith, Gratitude & Service ✨

The faithful gathered at St. Anthony Orthodox Church for a grace-filled Divine Liturgy officiated by His Grace Bishop Panaretos Kykkotis, alongside Fr. Maximos and Deacon Parthenios. It was a beautiful moment of worship, unity, and spiritual nourishment as the Church lifted one voice in prayer and thanksgiving.

In an uplifting and timely sermon on thanksgiving at all times, we were reminded that gratitude is the heartbeat of a Christian life—calling us to thank God not only in moments of joy, but also through trials, trusting in His perfect will and unfailing love.

The celebration was further enriched by an inspiring presentation from St. Anthony Orthodox Girls Senior School, whose participation brought joy, hope, and renewed strength to the congregation. Their offering was a true testimony of faith in action and the nurturing of the Church’s future.

The service was prayerfully led by His Grace Bishop Panaretos, alongside Fr. Siloanios and Deacon Parthenios, lifting our hearts in worship and unity before God.

🙏 Divine Liturgy on Leavetaking of Theophany at St. Anthony Orthodox Girls Senior School 🙏

Today was a moment of deep spiritual joy as the Divine Liturgy celebrating the Feast of the Leavetaking of Theophany/Epiphany of Our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ was prayerfully held at St. Anthony Orthodox Girls Senior School, alongside the official opening of the school. The service was graciously officiated by His Grace Bishop Panaretos, together with Fr. Maximos and Deacon Parthenios, blessing this institution at the beginning of its sacred journey.

The entire staff and students gathered in unity and reverence, witnessing a powerful sermon that spoke to the heart, overcoming the temptations that consistently face us in our daily lives. It was a timely message of strength, vigilance, and faith, calling everyone to stand firm in Christ as light shone forth just as it did at Theophany.

✨ May the grace revealed at the Jordan continue to guide, protect, and inspire the St. Anthony Orthodox Girls Senior School community in wisdom, discipline, and holiness. ✨

🔥 A Call to Compassion & Solidarity 🔥

On 1st January 2026, a heartbreaking fire tragedy befell Fr. Philotheos Ishmael Kiptoo of Laikipia Deanery. The fire completely destroyed his home, leaving nothing salvaged, including priestly vestments and church items. We thank God that no human life was lost and no injuries were recorded, yet the loss remains heavy and deeply felt.

As the Body of Christ, this is our moment to stand together in love, prayer, and action. We humbly call upon all well-wishers to support Fr. Philotheos through prayers, financial assistance, and material support. Contributions and support may be coordinated through the Office of the Vicar General – 0722422309. For any inquiries or guidance, kindly reach us via [email protected].

📖 “Carry each other’s burdens, and in this way you will fulfill the law of Christ.” Galatians 6:2

🙏 Let us help Fr. Philotheos stand again. Together, we can restore hope and rebuild what was lost.

✨ Divine Liturgy at Holy Apostles, Ngoru ✨

Today’s Divine Liturgy at Holy Apostles Orthodox Church, Ngoru, was a moment of deep spiritual nourishment and joyful fellowship. The service was beautifully officiated by His Grace Bishop Panaretos, alongside Fr. George and Deacon Parthenios, drawing the faithful into prayer, thanksgiving, and unity in Christ.

We were blessed by the presence of the Men’s Association from St. George Orthodox Church, Thangathi, whose fellowship added warmth and strength to the celebration. Their participation reflected the beauty of brotherhood and shared faith within the Church.

In his inspiring sermon, His Grace reminded us of our calling as Christians: to illumine light to those around us: through love, kindness, faith, and righteous living. May we go forth as bearers of Christ’s light in our families, communities, and the world.
