✨ Feast of Corpus Christi at Our Lady Consolata Cathedral ✨

Our Archbishop Anthony Muheria joined the faithful of Our Lady Consolata Cathedral in celebrating the Solemnity of Corpus Christi, a profound celebration of the Real Presence of Christ in the Holy Eucharist.

In his homily, the Archbishop reflected on Christ's words:

“This is my Body and this is my Blood.”

He reminded the faithful that through these words, Jesus chose to remain with His people, inviting all Christians into communion with Him through the Eucharist. He emphasized that in the Holy Eucharist, we encounter not a symbol, but Jesus Himself, truly present among us.

Reflecting on the Sequence (Lauda Sion), the Archbishop challenged Christians to deepen their faith and ask themselves whether they truly believe and proclaim Christ as their Lord, King, and Savior.

He noted that the Corpus Christi procession is a public profession of faith in Christ's presence in the Blessed Sacrament, witnessing to the world that Jesus remains at the center of our lives.

The Archbishop reminded the faithful that Christ in the Eucharist is our source of strength, helping us overcome life's challenges and difficulties.

Sharing a moving example, he recounted the story of a man who had lost hope and contemplated ending his life, but after spending time before Jesus in the Tabernacle, found healing, renewed hope, and the courage to continue living.

He encouraged all Christians to cultivate a deep friendship with Christ in the Eucharist, allowing Him to renew their faith and strengthen them for service.

In conclusion, the Archbishop called on the faithful to imitate Christ's self-giving love by offering themselves generously in service to others.

“Without the Eucharist, we do not exist. May we always find our strength, hope, and life in Christ present in the Blessed Sacrament.”

God bless

✨ Catholic Action Mass at Our Lady Consolata Cathedral ✨

Members of Catholic Action gathered at Our Lady Consolata Cathedral Parish for Holy Mass presided over by our Archbishop Anthony Muheria.

In his homily, the Archbishop reminded the faithful that Catholic Action is the root of all associations in the Church, founded on prayer, action, and sacrifice. He noted that the mission of Catholic Action is to form apostles who faithfully serve Christ, following the example of their Patron Saint, St. Charles Lwanga, who courageously gave his life for the faith.

Reflecting on the First Reading, the Archbishop emphasized the gifts of peace and mercy, praying that Catholic Action members may receive the courage to defend their faith and rekindle the gifts God has entrusted to them for the service of the Church.

He challenged the members not to become complacent with what they already know, but to continue learning, especially the Social Teachings of the Church, so as to better serve the youth, persons living with disabilities, and society at large.

The Archbishop further encouraged them to move beyond focusing on what is lacking and instead become agents of mercy, hope, and transformation. Rather than merely condemning wrongdoing, they should help others discover and embrace what is right.

“You are the light of the world. Bring hope, light, and love to those who feel forgotten and forsaken.”

He concluded by reminding Catholic Action members that the Church depends on their witness, leadership, and commitment to be examples of authentic Christian living in their families, communities, and the wider society.

God bless

✨ First Anniversary Celebration – St. Thorlak Tumaini Autism Centre, Nanyuki ✨

The St. Thorlak Tumaini Autism Centre, Nanyuki, joyfully celebrated its first anniversary, marking one year of dedicated service, advocacy, and support for autistic individuals and their families.

True to its name - honoring St. Thorlak, the patron saint of autistic people, and Tumaini, the Swahili word for hope - the celebration reflected a growing commitment to building a society where neurodivergent individuals are not only accepted but valued and celebrated.

The Holy Mass was presided over by our Archbishop Anthony Muheria, who, in his homily, called upon Christians to continue growing spiritually, remaining faithful to Christ, and living responsibly as stewards of God's gifts.

Drawing inspiration from St. Justin Martyr, the Archbishop encouraged the faithful to courageously witness to the Gospel through their daily lives, serving others with love, compassion, and dedication.

A touching highlight of the celebration was the sharing of testimonies by parents and caregivers. They spoke openly about the challenges they face, the progress made by their children, and the transformative impact the Centre has had on their families. Many expressed gratitude for the support, hope, and sense of community they have found through the Centre.

The anniversary served as both a celebration of achievements and a renewed commitment to promoting inclusion, dignity, and hope for autistic individuals and their families.

✨ Youth Patrons and Matrons Mass at Quo Vadis Youth Hub ✨

The Youth Patrons and Matrons from across the Archdiocese gathered at Quo Vadis Youth Hub for Holy Mass, presided over by Archbishop Anthony Muheria, seeking God's guidance as they continue accompanying young people in their journey of faith.

In his homily, the Archbishop reminded them that their gathering was an opportunity to renew their call to service and ask God to rekindle the fire of their mission among the youth.

Drawing from the Letter of St. Jude, he encouraged them to remain steadfast in faith and to be instruments of God's mercy:

«"Remember what you have learnt. On those who waver, have mercy; save others by snatching them out of the fire. Keep yourselves in the love of God."»

The Archbishop urged the patrons and matrons to help young people grow in their love for God through their hearts, talents, knowledge, and faith. He encouraged them to understand the interests and realities of young people so as to accompany them effectively in discerning and fulfilling God's will.

He reminded them that they are called to be credible witnesses of faith, noting that one cannot give what one does not possess. He challenged them to nurture their own spiritual lives, remain trustworthy, and build relationships where young people feel safe, heard, and valued.

The Archbishop further encouraged them to cultivate a joyful spirituality, one that inspires and encourages rather than condemns.

Reflecting on the words of the Psalmist, "My soul is thirsting for you, O Lord my God," he challenged them to help satisfy the spiritual thirst of young people by deepening their own understanding of the Catholic faith and its teachings.

He concluded by urging them to continually grow in their knowledge of the faith so that they may guide the youth with wisdom, authenticity, and love.

✨ Belated Celebration of Our Lady of Fatima ✨

It was a grace-filled celebration during the belated Feast of Our Lady of Fatima, where Archbishop Anthony Muheria delivered a powerful and inspiring message to the girls.

Accompanied by the School Chaplain, Rev. Fr. James Wangai, and the Education Secretary, Rev. Fr. Evaristus Maranga, the Archbishop encouraged the students to pursue not only academic excellence but also strong moral character.

He emphasized that academic success cannot stand alone without integrity, noting that schools should not only produce high grades, but also form women of virtue, honesty, discipline, and faith.

In his address, the Archbishop reflected on the three Gs — Grit, Grace, and Gratitude — encouraging the girls to remain resilient, prayerful, and thankful in their journey of growth.

Drawing inspiration from Mother Mary, he challenged the students to boldly say “Yes” to excellence in academics, faith, and moral values.

The Archbishop also emphasized the importance of character over shortcuts, reminding the girls that lasting success is built on honesty, discipline, and hard work.

Recognizing the pressures facing young women today, he encouraged them to find strength in prayer, remain hopeful, and uplift one another in true sisterhood.

A timely and fatherly message calling the young people to grow in faith, purpose, integrity, and resilience.

God bless
