[19]Because thine heart was tender, and thou hast humbled thyself before the LORD, when thou heardest what I spake against this place, and against the inhabitants thereof, that they should become a desolation and a curse, and hast rent thy clothes, and wept before me; I also have heard thee, saith the LORD.
kwa kuwa moyo wako ulikuwa mwororo, nawe ukajinyenyekesha mbele za BWANA, hapo ulipoyasikia maneno niliyoyanena juu ya mahali hapa, na juu ya wenyeji wake, ya kwamba watakuwa ukiwa na laana, nawe ulizirarua nguo zako, ukalia mbele zangu; basi, mimi nami nimekusikia wewe, asema BWANA.

[13]Ye are the salt of the earth: but if the salt have lost his savour, wherewith shall it be salted? it is thenceforth good for nothing, but to be cast out, and to be trodden under foot of men.
Ninyi ni chumvi ya dunia; lakini chumvi ikiwa imeharibika itatiwa nini hata ikolee? Haifai tena kabisa, ila kutupwa nje na kukanyagwa na watu.

Basi walipovua macho yao, nao wakali mbali, wasimtambue, wakainua sauti zao na kulia; kila mmoja akararua joho yake, wakarusha mavumbi juu ya vichwa vyao kuelekea mbinguni.
[13]So they sat down with him upon the ground seven days and seven nights, and none spake a word unto him: for they saw that his grief was very great.
Kisha wakaketi nchi pamoja naye muda wa siku saba, mchana na usiku, wala hapana mmoja aliyenena naye neno lo lote; kwa maana waliona ya kuwa mashaka yake aliyo nayo ni makuu mno.

Semeni na moyo wa Yerusalemu, kauambieni kwa sauti kuu ya kwamba vita vyake vimekwisha, uovu wake umeachiliwa; kwa kuwa amepokea kwa mkono wa BWANA adhabu maradufu kwa dhambi zake zote.
[3]The voice of him that crieth in the wilderness, Prepare ye the way of the LORD, make straight in the desert a highway for our God.
Sikiliza, ni sauti ya mtu aliaye, Itengenezeni nyikani njia ya BWANA; Nyosheni jangwani njia kuu kwa Mungu wetu.
[4]Every valley shall be exalted, and every mountain and hill shall be made low: and the crooked shall be made straight, and the rough places plain:
Kila bonde litainuliwa, Na kila mlima na kilima kitashushwa; Palipopotoka patakuwa pamenyoka, Na palipoparuza patasawazishwa;
[5]And the glory of the LORD shall be revealed, and all flesh shall see it together: for the mouth of the LORD hath spoken it.
Na utukufu wa BWANA utafunuliwa, Na wote wenye mwili watauona pamoja; Kwa kuwa kinywa cha BWANA kimenena haya.

[15]Can a woman forget her sucking child, that she should not have compassion on the son of her womb? yea, they may forget, yet will I not forget thee.
Je! Mwanamke aweza kumsahau mtoto wake anyonyaye, hata asimhurumie mwana wa tumbo lake? Naam, hawa waweza kusahau, lakini mimi sitakusahau wewe.
[16]Behold, I have graven thee upon the palms of my hands; thy walls are continually before me.
Tazama, nimekuchora katika vitanga vya mikono yangu; kuta zako ziko mbele zangu daima.
[17]Thy children shall make haste; thy destroyers and they that made thee waste shall go forth of thee.
Watoto wako wafanya haraka, hao wakuharibuo, nao waliokufanya ukiwa, watatoka kwako.
[21]Then shalt thou say in thine heart, Who hath begotten me these, seeing I have lost my children, and am desolate, a captive, and removing to and fro? and who hath brought up these? Behold, I was left alone; these, where had they been?
Ndipo utasema moyoni mwako, Ni nani aliyenizalia watoto hawa, na mimi nimefiwa na watoto wangu, nami ni peke yangu, nimehamishwa, ninatanga-tanga huko na huku? Tena ni nani aliyewalea hawa? Tazama, naliachwa peke yangu; hawa je! Walikuwa wapi?
[24]Shall the prey be taken from the mighty, or the lawful captive delivered?
Je! Aliye hodari aweza kunyang’anywa mateka yake, au jeshi lao waliofungwa halali wataokoka?
[25]But thus saith the LORD, Even the captives of the mighty shall be taken away, and the prey of the terrible shall be delivered: for I will contend with him that contendeth with thee, and I will save thy children.
Naam, BWANA asema hivi, Hata jeshi la wafungwa wake aliye hodari watapokonywa mikononi mwake, na mateka yake aliye jabari wataokoka; kwa maana nitateta na yeye atetaye nawe, nami nitawaletea wana wako wokovu.
[26]And I will feed them that oppress thee with their own flesh; and they shall be drunken with their own blood, as with sweet wine: and all flesh shall know that I the LORD am thy Saviour and thy Redeemer, the mighty One of Jacob.
Na hao wanaokuonea nitawalisha nyama yao wenyewe, nao watalewa kwa kuinywa damu yao wenyewe, k**a kwa mvinyo mpya; na wote wenye mwili watajua ya kuwa mimi, BWANA, ni mwokozi wako, na Mkombozi wako ni Mwenye enzi wa Yakobo.

BWANA asema hivi, Wakati uliokubalika nimekujibu, na siku ya wokovu nimekusaidia; nami nitakuhifadhi, nitakutoa uwe agano la watu hawa, ili kuiinua nchi hii, na kuwarithisha urithi uliokuwa ukiwa;
[9]That thou mayest say to the prisoners, Go forth; to them that are in darkness, Shew yourselves. They shall feed in the ways, and their pastures shall be in all high places.
kuwaambia waliofungwa, Haya, tokeni; na hao walio katika giza, Jionyesheni. Watajilisha katika njia, na juu ya majabali watapata malisho.

[1]Thou shalt not raise a false report: put not thine hand with the wicked to be an unrighteous witness.
Usivumishe habari za uongo; usitie mkono wako pamoja na mwovu, kuwa shahidi wa udhalimu.
[2]Thou shalt not follow a multitude to do evil; neither shalt thou speak in a cause to decline after many to wrest judgment:
Usiandamane na mkutano kutenda uovu; wala usitie ushahidi wako katika neno lo lote kwa kugeukia kando na kuandamana na mkutano ili kupotoa hukumu;
[3]Neither shalt thou countenance a poor man in his cause.
wala usimpendelee mtu mnyonge katika neno lake.
