Forgiveness

"God never tires to Forgive, it is we who get tired of asking for forgiveness from God, and from each other." (Pope Francis).
Lack of forgiveness is a dangerous cancer that affects us both spiritually, physically and emotionally. Without forgiveness we cannot genuinely approach God in prayer. Without forgiveness we cannot genuinely relate with each other. And without forgiveness we cannot be at peace with ourselves, God and with one another. Thus, we realize that forgiveness arises from a deeper longing for inner peace, a desire to be at peace with oneself, God and his/her neighbour.
We are all vulnerable and in need of God's mercy. And since we are forgiven victims, we are gifted forgiveness unconditionally so that we become unconditional dispensers of the same (Br. Augustine Peter Simiyu OSB).
