Too often all we see in ourselves is what we're doing wrong, all the times we blew it. We need to start seeing and applauding the good things in ourselves. When we applaud ourselves, we're not being boastful, egotistical and prideful. We're building confidence and faith in ourselves. We recognize that we are made in the image of Almighty God. Don't go around looking at all the times you blew it; rather, applaud yourself for all the things you've done well. Recognize that you are in the process of becoming the person God wants you to be.

Gentlemen, your wife is a reflection of you. Her countenance will be a reflection of how you treat her. Treat her with disrespect, contempt, and shame, and that is how she will appear. Treasure her as your queen, and your queen she shall be.

Ladies, there are some things you just should not do in public. If he’s got his entire foot in his mouth, don’t embarrass and belittle him publicly. If he gets his words mixed up, if he makes a mistake, stand right there by his side and grin as though he could do no wrong.

The real world of marriage is not always peaches and cream. The problem is that we marry illusions. It seems God has a sense of humor because He doesn’t always give us the illusion we wanted. For e…

Matthew 7:7-8
“Keep on asking, and you will receive what you ask for. Keep on seeking, and you will find. Keep on knocking, and the door will be opened to you. For everyone who asks, receives. Everyone who seeks, finds. And to everyone who knocks, the door will be opened."

Did you get up this morning ready to embrace the day? Too many people allow their circumstances to dictate their attitude. They don't realize that their attitude is a choice they make every day. The Bible tells us to constantly "be made new in the attitude of your minds" (Ephesians 4:23). We choose the way we see life, whether we will be grateful or negative about what we think is good and not good. When we begin to focus on the negative, we see more negative and allow it to give us a negative perspective on life. It's like swimming against the current. It's just a struggle.

John 16:13-15 (NRSV)

13. Jesus said: " When the Spirit of truth comes, he will guide you into ALL THE TRUTH; for he will not speak on his own, but will speak whatever he hears, and he will declare to you the things that are to come.
14. He will glorify me, because he will take what is mine and declare it to you.
15. All that the Father has is mine. For this reason I said that he will take what is mine and declare it to you."

Jesus' gift of the Holy Spirit to us is like having a 24/7 coach/counselor/teacher on standby. No appointments or fees ever required!
