PRAYERS FOR DIVINE KNOWLEDGE AND GRACE

📚✍️ I shall walk in divine revelation and knowledge, empowered by the Spirit of wisdom and understanding. "And the Spirit of the Lord shall rest upon him, the Spirit of wisdom and understanding, the Spirit of counsel and might, the Spirit of knowledge and of the fear of the Lord" (Isaiah 11:2). Lord, grant me the grace to live by Your power and discover the depths of Your wisdom daily.

📚✍️ I shall be enlightened and receive the grace to apply knowledge in all areas of life, growing in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. "But grow in grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ" (2 Peter 3:18). May Your divine grace flow through me, guiding my steps in every decision and action.

📚✍️ I shall receive divine guidance and insight into God’s plans and purposes for my life. "If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him" (James 1:5). Father, pour out Your wisdom upon me and lead me in the path of Your righteousness.

📚✍️ I shall live by the power of Jesus, experiencing His strength and overcoming challenges with grace. "I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me" (Philippians 4:13). Lord, empower me to walk boldly in Your strength and grace, manifesting Your power in every aspect of my life.

📚✍️ I shall receive the divine grace to live a victorious life, filled with the knowledge of God's will and purpose. "For this reason, since the day we heard about you, we have not stopped praying for you. We continually ask God to fill you with the knowledge of his will through all the wisdom and understanding that the Spirit gives" (Colossians 1:9). May Your grace be sufficient for me, enabling me to live a life that glorifies You and fulfills Your purpose.

As we prepare for our prayer meeting on Sunday let's keep in mind what we are facing. The bible tells us in Ephesians 6:12 "For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places." In other words, spiritual warfare not human warfare. We must refrain from personal assaults against our brothers and sisters. Redirect all your frustrations at the enemy, our spiritual enemy. Many things are said out of a lack of knowledge. Let's educate each other on Godly responses and actions. We are told in Galatians 22 "But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith," The apostle Paul also includes this in verse. 26 "Let us not be desirous of vain glory, provoking one another, envying one another."
Shalom .

September, 20 Devotion
“The sword of the Lord, and of Gideon.”

Judges 7:20

Gideon ordered his men to do two things: covering up a torch in an earthen pitcher, he bade them, at an appointed signal, break the pitcher and let the light shine, and then sound with the trumpet, crying, “The sword of the Lord, and of Gideon! the sword of the Lord, and of Gideon!” This is precisely what all Christians must do. First, you must shine; break the pitcher which conceals your light; throw aside the bushel which has been hiding your candle, and shine. Let your light shine before men; let your good works be such, that when men look upon you, they shall know that you have been with Jesus. Then there must be the sound, the blowing of the trumpet. There must be active exertions for the ingathering of sinners by proclaiming Christ crucified. Take the gospel to them; carry it to their door; put it in their way; do not suffer them to escape it; blow the trumpet right against their ears. Remember that the true war-cry of the Church is Gideon’s watchword, “The sword of the Lord, and of Gideon!” God must do it, it is his own work. But we are not to be idle; instrumentality is to be used—“The sword of the Lord, and of Gideon!” If we only cry, “The sword of the Lord!” we shall be guilty of an idle presumption; and if we shout, “The sword of Gideon!” alone, we shall manifest idolatrous reliance on an arm of flesh: we must blend the two in practical harmony, “The sword of the Lord, and of Gideon!” We can do nothing of ourselves, but we can do everything by the help of our God; let us, therefore, in his name determine to go out personally and serve with our flaming torch of holy example, and with our trumpet tones of earnest declaration and testimony, and God shall be with us, and Midian shall be put to confusion, and the Lord of hosts shall reign forever and ever.

I Hope this song will bless you too. Relax.

Blessed assurance, Jesus is mine
Oh, what a foretaste of glory divine
Heir of salvation, purchase of God
Born of His spirit, washed in His blood
Perfect submission, all is at rest
I in my Savior, am happy and blessed
Watching and waiting, looking above
Filled with His goodness, lost in His love, oh oh
This is my story, this is my song
Praising my Savior all the day long
This is my story, this is my song
Praising my Savior all the day long.

Amplified Bible. 2 Samuel 6:7,10-12,14,16,23
[7]And the anger of the Lord was kindled against Uzzah; and God smote him there for touching the ark, and he died there by the ark of God.
[10]So David was not willing to take the ark of the Lord to him into the City of David; but he took it aside into the house of Obed-edom the Gittite.
[11]And the ark of the Lord remained in the house of Obed-edom the Gittite for three months, and the Lord blessed Obed-edom and all his household.
[12]And it was told King David, The Lord has blessed the house of Obed-edom and all that belongs to him, because of the ark of God. So David went and brought up the ark of God from the house of Obed-edom into the City of David with rejoicing;
[14]And David danced before the Lord with all his might, clad in a linen ephod [a priest's upper garment].
[16]As the ark of the Lord came into the City of David, Michal, Saul's daughter [David's wife], looked out of the window and saw King David leaping and dancing before the Lord, and she despised him in her heart.
[23]And Michal the daughter of Saul had no child to the day of her death.

Matthew 6:5-6: ""And when you pray, you must not be like the hypocrites. For they love to stand and pray in the synagogues and at the street corners, that they may be seen by others. Truly, I say to you, they have received their reward. But when you pray, go into your room and shut the door and pray to your Father who is in secret. And your Father who sees in secret will reward you

That's what I read today.

WHEN THE GAME IS OVER....WE SHALL ALL RETURN HOME.

A boy was sent by his father to urgently buy him food from a restaurant. On his way going, he was in a hurry because of the urgency of the assignment.

However, on his way back, he passed where his mates were playing football. He slowed down, began to watch the game, gradually slowing down until he finally stopped. He watched for a while and got carried away, he became interested, and indicated his interest in playing, he was invited.

He left the food in the care of some unknown people and entered the field. He forgot the assignment completely and played his heart out. He became the man of the match, dribbled opponents, created chances, scored goals and changed the face of the entire game.

When night came, the owner of the ball picked it up. It was time for everyone to go home; to go back to their parents, the game was over!

It now dawned on the boy after everyone had left that he had actually been sent to buy food by his hungry father. He went to where he kept the food, it had already been eaten by goats and dogs, "but I kept this food with some guys here a moment ago." He said.

He picked the plates, but was no longer happy, all the excitement of the game disappeared, the people clapping for him were all gone, the opponents he was playing against were all gone, the ball itself was gone, time was gone, those selling food were gone, he couldn't buy another!

Regrets took over him, he sluggishly walked home, with tears of sorrow and regrets whilst hiding in the dark.

When people saw him, they asked him why he was crying and hiding in the dark with empty plates! He had left with clean plates full of excitement, but returned with same empty plates, so dirty and stained !

When they asked him "Why he couldn't go home, he said his father will beat him". He knew the implications of a wasted time. So sad, too late.

Hear this: We have a home and a Father to return to at the end of life's journey when all is said and done.

The Bible. Daniel 11:32
[32]And such as violate the covenant he shall pervert and seduce with flatteries, but the people who know their God shall prove themselves strong and shall stand firm and do exploits [for God].
