He was born on September 2, 1937 in Santo Domingo Antioquia.
He entered the seminary on January 31, 1951
He received the order of the diaconate on March 30, 1963 and that of the presbyterate on August 25 of the same year.

Today our institute celebrate the life of padre Emanuel Maria. He passed on today... We pray that God may receive his soul in eternal Peace... Its a loss to our institute, and we thank God for the good life and blessings we had to share with him on this world.. REST IN PEACE EMANUEL
