*POWER OF A STRONG DESIRE*

Tuesday, May 10th.

Pastor Chris

_*And ye shall seek me, and find me, when ye shall search for me with all your heart. And I will be found of you, saith the LORD… (Jeremiah 29:13-14).*_

God never ignores a strong desire—a strong desire to know Him, walk with Him and do His will. That strong desire births an unquenchable urge for prayer. That’s what we mean sometimes when we say someone is taken over by the “spirit of prayer.” It means the Holy Spirit has brought an overwhelming atmosphere and influence of prayer on your heart.

When that happens, prayer becomes all that you do and think about. That influence could stay on you for a protracted period of time. However, this isn’t just something that happens when God chooses to; rather, it’s what you invite by desire. The Bible says He satisfies the thirsty soul (Psalm 107:9).

When you begin that fellowship of prayer, it won’t be long before that spirit of intercession comes on you and you find that you’re constantly praying. Every now and then the Spirit will pull you to His motivations, visions, plans and purposes, the things that He cares about and wants to do. He’d be expressing Himself through you in prayer.

This is something that should be evident in the life of every Christian; a strong desire for the Lord, His Word, and His influence in your life. When you have it, you can easily influence those around you with it. So, cultivate it. Stir your heart to have a strong desire and maintain your zeal, love and passion for the Lord at all times. David, inspired by a strong desire for the Lord, said, _*“O God, thou art my God; early will I seek thee: my soul thirsteth for thee, my flesh longeth for thee in a dry and thirsty land, where no water is”*_ (Psalm 63:1).

*PRAYER*

*Dear Father, you’re my glory, my joy and my all; my soul pants for you much more than the deer pants after the water brooks. Thank you for your glory in my life. My desire is to know you more and fulfill your perfect will for me, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.*

*FURTHER STUDY:* *||* *Luke 18:1-8* And he spake a parable unto them [to this end], that men ought always to pray, and not to faint; 2 Saying, There was in a city a judge, which feared not God, neither regarded man: 3 And there was a widow in that city; and she came unto him, saying, Avenge me of mine adversary. 4 And he would not for a while: but afterward he said within himself, Though I fear not God, nor regard man; 5 Yet because this widow troubleth me, I will avenge her, lest by her continual coming she weary me. 6 And the Lord said, Hear what the unjust judge saith. 7 And shall not God avenge his own elect, which cry day and night unto him, though he bear long with them? 8 I tell you that he will avenge them speedily. Nevertheless when the Son of man cometh, shall he find faith on the earth? *||*

*||* *Jeremiah 29:13-14 AMPC* Then you will seek Me, inquire for, and require Me [as a vital necessity] and find Me when you search for Me with all your heart. 14 I will be found by you, says the Lord, and I will release you from captivity and gather you from all the nations and all the places to which I have driven you, says the Lord, and I will bring you back to the place from which I caused you to be carried away captive. *||*

RHAPSODY OF REALITIES, SUNDAY 8TH MAY 2022. Pastor Chris

TOPIC: ✨ PRACTISE BEING ALONE WITH GOD✨

But Jesus often withdrew to the wilderness for prayer (Luke 5:16 NLT).

There’s something about solitude. If you don’t understand the value of solitude, there’s a lot that you can miss in life. It’s so important to have personal times alone with God. Before revelation comes isolation. When you learn the value of having private times of fellowship with the Lord, you’ll be amazed at the transformation that’ll take place in your life and how effective you’d be in the things of God.

Never take your private times with the Lord lightly. Maybe you have some people that every now and then are at your door because they need to see you or speak with you about one thing or the other. Be smart. If you spend most of your time in casual or vain chatter with others and spend lesser time fellowshipping with the Spirit, you’re not going to accomplish much in life.

Jesus understood the value and power of privacy with God. In Matthew 14:23, the Bible says, “And when he had sent the multitudes away, he went up into a mountain apart to pray: and when the evening was come, he was there alone.” Our theme verse shows us that He did this often: “But Jesus often withdrew to the wilderness for prayer” (Luke 5:16 NLT). At the time everyone was clamouring for His attention, He withdrew into the wilderness to pray.

In fact, on a certain occasion, He “escaped” to go and pray, and they were looking for Him. The Bible says, “And in the morning, rising up a great while before day, he went out, and departed into a solitary place, and there prayed. And Simon and they that were with him followed after him” (Mark 1:35-36). Practise this. Make the effort to have your personal times with God every day.

PRAYER
Dear Father, as I spend time with you in fellowship, the intensity of your glory in my life is increased; I’m transfigured from glory to glory. I experience victory, divine health and blessings! My life is an expression of your supernatural grace, glory, perfection, beauty and righteousness, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.

*AN EXTRAORDINARY EVENT*

_And when he had spoken these things, while they beheld, he was taken up; and a cloud received him out of their sight_ *(Acts 1:9)*

Jesus was crucified and buried. On the third day, God raised Him from the dead, showed Him alive openly. But something remarkable about Jesus after that resurrection from death, which was a mind-blowing experience for all those who witnessed it, was His ascension to heaven.

While He was talking to His disciples on that occasion, suddenly, He levitated and ascended into the clouds before their eyes and went right into heaven. This was extraordinary.

Enoch was taken alive by God (Genesis 5:24), and Elijah was taken alive with the chariot of fire by God (2 Kings 2:11). Jesus ascended! This was how He left this world. No one ever disputed it, because there were too many witnesses.

While the disciples were standing there, looking into heaven at this wonder, two angels came to them and said, *“…Ye men of Galilee, why stand ye gazing up into heaven? this same Jesus, which is taken up from you into heaven, shall so come in like manner as ye have seen him go into heaven”* (Acts 1:11). He is coming again. Blessed be God!

*PRAYER*

_Dear heavenly Father, thank you for such an extraordinary event that showed Jesus alive and the Lord over all to the world. Now, I’m seated with Christ in heavenly places far above all principalities and powers; troubles and distractions of this world, in Jesus’ Name. Amen._

RHAPSODY OF REALITIES, TUESDAY 5TH APRIL MARCH 2022. Pastor Chris

TOPIC: ✨ ONLY IMAGINE POSITIVE OUTCOMES ✨

Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us (Ephesians 3:20).

The human spirit is very powerful, with tremendous creative and imaginative ability. Remember, man was created in the image of God; he looks like God and functions like God. That’s why we say, “Your imaginative power is your creative ability.”

Knowing this, therefore, you should only imagine positive outcomes. Refuse to worry about anything. Worry helps you imagine the worst-case scenario. Worry helps you imagine negative possibilities, and your imagination of those negative possibilitie crystalizes them. Worry helps make your fears possible.

It’s the reason God tells us not to worry or be anxious for nothing (Philippians 4:6). You may say, “What if something has gone wrong, shouldn’t I be worried?” No! Simply refuse to worry! It makes no difference what happens with the economy, health care or health “scare.” When you worry, you set up a magnetic force that attracts to you everything that’s consistent with what you’re worried about.

Never imagine that you may be sent out of the house because you’re behind in your rent. Don’t imagine yourself losing your job. Don’t worry or panic that money isn’t going to be available to you for the things you need to accomplish. Don’t worry that the pain you’re feeling may be more complicated than you realize or could result in an incurable disease. Never have, or form, such negative imaginations. What you imagine is what becomes. Stay your mind on the Word and let it control your expectations.

CONFESSION
I have the ability to visualize, and therefore, contrive pictures of great and glorious possibilities from the Word of God, and speak them forth. I speak forth peace, prosperity, divine health, salvation and victories, and I walk in the realities of my heritage in Christ. Hallelujah!

FURTHER STUDY:
Matthew 12:35-36
A good man out of the good treasure of the heart bringeth forth good things: and an evil man out of the evil treasure bringeth forth evil things. But I say unto you, That every idle word that men shall speak, they shall give account thereof in the day of judgment.

Philippians 4:8
Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.

*THE CLOUD OF GLORY*

_*For the cloud of the LORD was upon the tabernacle by day, and fire was on it by night, in the sight of all the house of Israel, throughout all their journeys (Exodus 40:38).*_

Matthew 17 tells us that Peter, James and John were with Jesus on the Mount of Transfiguration. While they were there, Moses and Elijah appeared, and suddenly, the cloud of God covered them (Matthew 17:5). This same cloud was referenced in Exodus 13:21 and Exodus 16:10 (study both references).

We find a remarkable scenario in our theme verse: for forty years, the children of Israel saw the cloud of God’s glory upon the tabernacle by day, and as a pillar of fire by night. This is really significant because Isaiah 63:9 says, _*“In all their affliction he was afflicted, and the angel of his presence saved them: in his love and in his pity he redeemed them; and he bare them, and carried them all the days of old.”*_

The next verse tells us that the Angel of His presence is the Holy Spirit: _*“But they rebelled, and vexed his holy Spirit: therefore he was turned to be their enemy, and he fought against them”*_ (Isaiah 63:10). He was the One that was with them in that cloud of glory. Then the Bible says in 1 Corinthians 10:1-2: _*“Moreover, brethren, I would not that ye should be ignorant, how that all our fathers were under the cloud, and all passed through the sea; And were all baptized unto Moses in the cloud and in the sea.”*_ Remarkable!

Now, 2 Chronicles 5:1-14 gives us an interesting account: Solomon had built the temple of God and
the priests were to take the Ark of God from the old tabernacle and bring it into the new temple built by Solomon. When the Ark was brought in, this same cloud of glory filled the temple, so much so that the priests couldn’t stand to minister in the Holy Place. Hallelujah!

That glory is in you and overshadows you today, because you’re the bearer of the Ark. The Ark of God is in your heart today because His Word is written in your heart (Jeremiah 31:33, Hebrews 8:10). The Word is where the glory is. As long as you give the Word of God its place in your life, you’ll always be covered in that cloud of glory, where you’re shielded from evil and all the depravities in the world. Praise God!

*CONFESSION*
_*The Holy Spirit, the Spirit of glory, lives in me; not only am I fully covered in His glory, I carry that glory with me to impact my world. Even now, that glory beams from within my spirit, permeating my body, and affecting everything around me. The depravities and corruption in this present world have no effect on me, because I live in the glory of God. Hallelujah!*_

*FURTHER STUDY:*
*2 Chronicles 5:11-14;* - And it came to pass, when the priests were come out of the holy place: (for all the priests that were present were sanctified, and did not then wait by course: 12 - Also the Levites which were the singers, all of them of Asaph, of Heman, of Jeduthun, with their sons and their brethren, being arrayed in white linen, having cymbals and psalteries and harps, stood at the east end of the altar, and with them an hundred and twenty priests sounding with trumpets:) 13 - It came even to pass, as the trumpeters and singers were as one, to make one sound to be heard in praising and thanking the LORD; and when they lifted up their voice with the trumpets and cymbals and instruments of musick, and praised the LORD, saying, For he is good; for his mercy endureth for ever: that then the house was filled with a cloud, even the house of the LORD; 14 - So that the priests could not stand to minister by reason of the cloud: for the glory of the LORD had filled the house of God. (KJV)

*THE EXERCISE OF OUR AUTHORITY”*

Friday, April 1st.

Pastor Chris

_*“And I heard a loud voice saying in heaven, Now is come salvation, and strength, and the kingdom of our God, and the power of his Christ: for the accuser of our brethren is cast down, which accused them before our God day and night. And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto the death”*_ (Revelation 12:10-11).

How wonderful this is! These verses are not talking about us the Church but about the Tribulation saints. This is going to happen during the Great Tribulation period. We would have gone to heaven at this time. While these saints will have their role in this spiritual conflict as stated, the actual fight would be done by angels, led by Michael the Archangel.

Michael the Archangel does not fight for the Church. The Bible shows us he fights for Israel. Daniel 12:1 says, _*“And at that time shall Michael stand up, the great prince which standeth for the children of thy people…”*_ If you read it all the way to the 7th verse, it becomes even more lucid that it is dealing with Israel. But in our dispensation, the angels only fight in our behalf in things we do not know about and things we do not do anything about; otherwise, they generally minister in our behalf (Hebrews 1:14).

Angels do not need to fight in our behalf when we exercise our authority in Christ. Why? The demons bow in response to our authority, because we are using the Name of Jesus. His Name is greater than every principality and power and every name that is named, both in this world and in that which is to come!

In Christianity we are not called to fight with devils; we cast them out: _*“And these signs will follow those who believe: In My name they will cast out demons…”*_ (Mark 16:17 NKJV). He gave us complete authority over Satan and all evil spirits. Praise God!

*CONFESSION*

*I am seated together with Christ in the heavenly realms, far above principalities, powers, and the rulers of the darkness of this world. My authority is that of the blessed Lord Jesus Christ – the only true God! Now therefore, in the Name of the Lord Jesus, I affirm I have power over Satan, evil spirits and their works, I break their influence over leaders of governments and their agencies, that the Name of the Lord may be glorified. Amen.*

*FURTHER STUDY:* Luke 10:18-19 (KJV) “And he said unto them, I beheld Satan as lightning fall from heaven. Behold, I give unto you power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy: and nothing shall by any means hurt you.”

Psalm 149:5-9 (KJV) “Let the saints be joyful in glory: let them sing aloud upon their beds. Let the high praises of God be in their mouth, and a twoedged sword in their hand; To execute vengeance upon the heathen, and punishments upon the people; To bind their kings with chains, and their nobles with fetters of iron; To execute upon them the judgment written: this honour have all his saints. Praise ye the Lord.”

*CREATED WITHOUT DEFECT*

_*For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them (Ephesians 2:10)*_

The Amplified Classic version of our theme verse shows us something extraordinary. It says, _*“For we are God’s [own] handiwork (His workmanship), recreated in Christ Jesus, [born anew] that we may do those good works which God predestined (planned beforehand) for us [taking paths which He prepared ahead of time], that we should walk in them [living the good life which He prearranged and made ready for us to live].”*_

You’re God’s excellent workmanship or handiwork. It’s like having a mobile device produced by, let’s say, Samsung; they’ll have a brand on it showing that the phone is the workmanship of Samsung. In the same way, God has His brand on you. And remember, everything God makes and does is excellent and is forever.

If that’s true, then in God’s mind, He doesn’t expect you to succumb to sickness, disease, or the elements of this world, because He made you superior to them. He made you stronger than infirmities and the corrupting influences and negativities in this present world of darkness. Nothing in this world can hurt or
hinder you.

That’s why one of the signs of the believing ones as listed by Jesus in Mark 16:18 is, _*“…if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them....”*_ This is how He wants you to think. You’re not like everyone else. You’re a superior being; you’re in God’s class, created without any defect. You were made to function perfectly and excellently in life. Glory to God!

*CONFESSION*
_*I’m fashioned for good works, and to live the good life which God prearranged for me. My life is for the glory of God; I walk in excellence, certified for success. Not only do I have the nature of my heavenly Father in me, I also have His brand on me. Glory to God!*_

*FURTHER STUDY:*
*Ephesians 2:10 NLT;* For we are God's masterpiece. He has created us anew in Christ Jesus, so that we can do the good things he planned for us long ago.

*THE REST IN CHRIST*

_*There remaineth therefore a rest to the people of God. For he that is entered into his rest, he also hath ceased from his own works, as God did from his (Hebrews 4:9-10)*_

Notice our underlined phrase above: _*“For he that is entered into his rest….”*_ That rest is the rest in Christ; it’s much more than the rest for the physical body. It’s rest for your soul, where you don’t struggle or toil for anything whatsoever. 2 Peter 1:3 says, _*“According as his divine power hath given unto us all things that pertain unto life and godliness….”*_

Everything required for your success, prosperity, victory, health and greatness has been made available to you in Christ. So, why worry? You don’t have to
struggle in life anymore. Enjoy God’s rest. Hallelujah! Jesus said, _*“Therefore I say unto you, Take no thought for your life, what ye shall eat, or what ye shall drink; nor yet for your body, what ye shall put on. Is not the life more than meat, and the body than raiment”*_(Matthew 6:25).

Paul, writing by the Spirit to the Church, in Philippians 4:6, said, _*“Be careful for nothing; but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.”*_ There’re many who haven’t realized this truth, and therefore aren’t enjoying a life of absolute rest and blessings. On their job, business, projects, or even their evangelical responsibilities, they labour and toil so hard with little or no results.

If that describes you, what you need is a renewal of your mind. Our struggling doesn’t please God. That’s why the Holy Spirit was sent to help us. In John 14:16 (AMP), Jesus said, *_“And I will ask the Father, and He will give you another Helper (Comforter, Advocate, Intercessor—Counselor, Strengthener, Standby), to be with you forever.”*_ He’s here today and now as your Helper.

You’re not alone. Christ is in you and with you; don’t work and walk alone. Live in His rest. The Bible says we’re seated together with Him in heavenly places: _*“And hath raised us up together, and made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus”*_ (Ephesians 2:6). That isn’t a position of hardship, struggle or turmoil; it’s a position of rest, dominion, power and authority. The Bible says all the works were finished before the foundation of the world (Hebrews 4:3). Now He says, “Enjoy all things.” Live in His rest, for all things are yours.

*CONFESSION*
_*It’s part of my heritage as the seed of Abraham to excel and make progress in life, from glory to glory, without struggling. I live perpetually in the rest of God. Now and always, I walk in His glory, manifesting His love, grace and righteousness. Hallelujah!*_

*FURTHER STUDY:*
*Matthew 11:28-30;* - Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. 29 - Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls. 30 - For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.

*1 Peter 5:7;* - Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you.

*Matthew 6:25-34 MSG* "If you decide for God, living a life of God-worship, it follows that you don't fuss about what's on the table at mealtimes or whether the clothes in your closet are in fashion. There is far more to your life than the food you put in your stomach, more to your outer appearance than the clothes you hang on your body. 26 Look at the birds, free and unfettered, not tied down to a job description, careless in the care of God. And you count far more to him than birds. 27 "Has anyone by fussing in front of the mirror ever gotten taller by so much as an inch? 28 All this time and money wasted on fashion--do you think it makes that much difference? Instead of looking at the fashions, walk out into the fields and look at the wildflowers. They never primp or shop, 29 but have you ever seen color and design quite like it? The ten best--dressed men and women in the country look shabby alongside them. 30 "If God gives such attention to the appearance of wildflowers--most of which are never even seen--don't you think he'll attend to you, take pride in you, do his best for you? 31 What I'm trying to do here is to get you to relax, to not be so preoccupied with getting, so you can respond to God's giving. 32 People who don't know God and the way he works fuss over these things, but you know both God and how he works. 33 Steep your life in God-reality, God-initiative, God-provisions. Don't worry about missing out. You'll find all your everyday human concerns will be met. 34 "Give your entire attention to what God is doing right now, and don't get worked up about what may or may not happen tomorrow. God will help you deal with whatever hard things come up when the time comes.
