Friends Church Mambai Monthly Meeting was yesterday privileged and honour to host the Joint Quakermen Merry Go Round prayer day, comprising of 5 Yearly Meetings of Vihiga, Chavakali, Vokoli, Kaimosi and Tuloi at Mambai Comprehensive Boarding and Day Primary School.

The event led by the Joint Quakermen Presiding Clerk Bro. Evans Chamwama and his team invited the topical speaker of the day Pst Mark Amuyunzu to present the topic burials ceremonies according to the Maragoli culture.

The Main Speaker Pst Francis Elegwa explored the theme A dead and Live Church from the book of Revelations 3: 1-2.

Close to 250 members graced the prayer day event from across the 5 Yearly meetings plus other denominations.

Special invited guests who graced the prayer day occasion was our CECM of Health at the County Quakermen Hon Nicholas Kitungulu who gave his contribution towards the completion of the new church sanctuary currently under construction, other invited guests who sent their contribution were the Area MCA Hon. Vincent Atsiaya and Aspiring Member of Parliament Hon Geroge Odanga. A total of Kes 56,000.00 was realised in the special offering.

The Monthly Meeting leadership expresses their appreciation to all those who contributed towards building the house of the Lord, God bless you abundantly.

The next event shall be held at Friends Church Kapsabet in Tuloi Yearly Meeting on Sunday 27th September 2026.

Members of Mambai Friends Church today gathered at the church construction site to carry out a cleaning exercise by arranging the timber, frames, and posts that will be reused in the next phase of the construction.

After the curing of the slab for 21 days, the construction team embarked on the removal of the suspended slab and beam framework and later commenced the walling of the church offices on the first floor of the new sanctuary.

We thank the Almighty for this far He has brought us and for His provision. May His name be praised

The Curing of the recently constructed suspended slab and ring beam of the modern Mambai Friends Church new sanctuary began on the 5th of June 2026 immediately after the koroga koroga on the 4th of June and is set to last for 21 days.

The Church Development committee made arrangements for the curing to be done twice a day in the morning and evening to ensure proper compaction of the slab and beam as the rains have slightly disappeared for the past few weeks.

Plans for the commencement of phase 4 are underway and shall be unveiled soon.

FRIENDS CHURCH MAMBAI CONSTRUCTION PHASE THREE

The construction of phase 3 of Friends Church Mambai's new modern sanctuary consisted of the setting of the framework for the ring beam, suspended slab, staircase, and column setting was completed yesterday.

Team koroga was on site at 6:00am and did a wonderful job which ended at about 5:00pm in the evening.

We thank the Almight God for this far He has brought us, His will has been done and may He richly bless the teams that have worked tirelessly to make this day a success.

As we look forward to the commencement of phase 4, we pray and seek His favour to be upon us as we seek support from well wishers to support in the construction of the house of the Lord.

The construction of phase 3 of Mambai Friends Church modern sanctuary has commenced with the sourcing of props and setting of the framework of the suspended slab and staircase for the first floor.

The Mambai Village Meeting Development Committee led by our able Chairman Jackson Kigani held a meeting on Monday 18th May 2026, held a meeting to plan on the commencement of phase 3 of the church construction project which shall include the construction of the suspended slab and staircase.

The committee ordered for the construction material for phase 3 which was delivered yesterday as construction works kicked off.

Friends Church Mambai Village Meeting, in collaboration with Mambai Monthly Meeting on Sunday the 17th of May 2026, held a special offering fundraising in aid of the completion of the construction of the new church sanctuary.

The special offering fundraising conducted by our incoming Governor Hon Indimuli Kahi OGW realised Kes 846,125.00.

Hon Indimuli was assisted by Hon. Amb. Ken Vitisia Omusedi Aspiring candidate for the MP Vihiga Constituency, Mr. David Akelola and Mr. Ronald Isiaho Agadamba.

We also received support from the following:
1. Hon. Clement Sloya Sabatia Constituency Area Member of Parilament,
2. Hon Winnie Majani Aspiring candidate for Woman Representative Vihiga County,
3. Hon John Teddy Ambenge Aspiring candidate for Senator Vihiga County.
4. Hon Sisco Mbindi Aspiring candidate Member of Parliament Sabatia
5. Violet Midio Mama Kenya African Church of the Holy Spirit.
6. Ms Isabela Wanyonyi from Kakamega County
7. Judith Muyagida from Mombasa County.

The Development Committee shall convene soonest to put the funds into good use, and we shall update you on the development progress as it unfolds.
