Members of Mambai Friends Church Village Meeting today after church service, visited the construction site to assess the progress made during the past week.

The development committee led by our able chair, Mr. Jackson Kigani took the members through the works that had been undertaken in er****on of the structural columns to support the top floor and highlighted the works that will be undertaken in the next phase.

Foundation slabbing of the new church sanctuary is now complete. The men at work have worked in unity and harmony to ensure this is achieved.

Kudos to the contractor and his team, the development committee and the church members.

Members of Friends Church Mambai Village Meeting on Sunday after the morning service visited the church premises currently under construction and offered prayers to the Almight God seeking His favour and financial blessing to enable us complete the new church sanctuary.

The prayers were led by our Pastor Stephen Mwaka.

The construction demolition squad today descended on the remaining structure of our old church building and brought it down with the walls trembling down and the dust raising up.

Another team was busy back filling the column bases and foundation trenches with the debris from the old structure.

Later in the evening, there was a heavy downpour signalling the end of the old structure. Back filling and setting up of the foundation slab will continue tomorrow.

The construction team on Wednesday and yesterday worked on the construction of the columns and the foundation of the new church building, and also commences on demolition of the old church building.

The construction team yesterday embarked on the construction of the churches new foundation and filling the centre column bases with motar.

The job went well with the teams, coordinating each section very well.

The church leadership under the leadership of Madam Elizabeth Muyagida and Development Committee Chair provided the much needed support by ensuring the materials required for the construction were on site for the smooth running of the operations.

Yesterday was koroga Monday, the construction team embarked on mixing the motar for the column base of the church foundation.

FOUNDATION BLINDING AND STARTER COLUMN SETTING

Friends Church Mambai compound has become a busy construction site with the church building partially demolished to pave way for the construction of a modern church sanctuary. The construction team yesterday embarked on the column blinding and setting of the foundation, this will be completed tomorrow to enable the construction of column bases and columns that will support the new structure.
