The Armor of God is not complete without the Word of God.
The Belt of Truth is strengthened by the Word, because God's Word is truth.
The Breastplate of Righteousness is strengthened by the Word, because the Word teaches us how to live righteously.
The Shoes of the Gospel of Peace are strengthened by the Word, because the Gospel is revealed through the Word.
The Shield of Faith is strengthened by the Word, because faith comes by hearing the Word of God (Romans 10:17).
The Helmet of Salvation is strengthened by the Word, because the Word assures us of our salvation in Christ.
The Sword of the Spirit is the Word of God itself.
Even our prayers are guided and empowered by the Word.
Therefore, the Word of God is the foundation of the whole Armor of God. The more we are grounded in God's Word, the stronger we stand against every challenge and every attack of the enemy.
"Put on the whole armor of God." (Ephesians 6:11)
