REFERENCE: CONSIDER YOUR WAYS.
Consider; To weigh options carefully and slowly.
To think about something over a long period.
To debate the positivity and negativity intently.
To reflect deeply on an idea.
Matthew 23:23 CSB
“Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! You pay a tenth of mint, dill, and cumin, and yet you have neglected the more important matters of the law — justice, mercy, and faithfulness. These things should have been done without neglecting the others.
Dear brethren, priests and kings on account of the love of God towards us and union with His identity through Christ's sacrificial death, His resurrection and the gift of the Holy Spirit, cleansing and spiritually adoption into God's divine nature, praise God?
It is a great honour this afternoon as a minister of the gospel to relay this message unto God's elect for;
-Edification of the church.
-Encouragement of one another.
-Reflection of our individual relationship with God.
-Correction and a return to the sound doctrine in the love of God.
And finally accomplishment of God's purpose in priesthood concerning God's assignment pertaining to Him among men.
A review on the message of Christ on the pharisees, scribes and the sadducees. To be clear and direct on this, I would like to say that we are no better than these three categories we are hearing about Jesus condemn in Matthew 23:25-30. To our surprise we may realize that this three groups of people might be even better than the current church we are having at the moment.
The world is experiencing shortage of real and true men, real leadership, mirage of integrity and honest. All these are as a result of a failed church. We have gatherings worldwide that embrace mistaken believe on justice, love and care. A dysfunctional leadership that only cares about individual benefit and awards without taking responsibility and rightful manner of operations.
And because the church is somehow sourcing a perceived comfort from such zonals it no longer stands out for what matters.
Our mandate is not to stop at the surface of the ground as things appears sweeter and the cup appears clean. It is our call to objectively interrogate and reason with the mirror(word of God) that we have and assess everything accordingly. Our faces are smiling as we meet each other yet our hearts are frowning, we cloth ourselves in white shiny linen yet our inside is pathetic for the dwelling of the Holy Spirit. What sort of self-deception is this? Until when are we going to consider the inner hygiene of the cup and the outer hygiene for an accomplished reality ?
We receive a call to stand and let the outside reflect the we have from our hearts. We should not try to carry the weight and burdens that have already been summoned at the feet of the cross of Jesus Christ. It's not tomorrow, if it is not today then therefore it's now 👉
I haven't been appointed to condemn or crucify any of you. As I remind one I do the same to all. Present your burdens at the cross, the one which two thieves couldn't bear, the one which even Simeon of Cyrene felt it was too heavy for Him to bear physically but already the spiritual mark had already been crossed and the death sentence had been passed.
It is at the cross of Jesus Christ that even death could no longer survive but to face an ultimate end. For the wages of sin is death and now what of Him who knew no sin but was exchanged for your sin.
Go through again and listen to God as He speaks to you carefully.
There you have it.
