🙏🏽 A Call to Prayer for Our Widows

Please pray for our widows and Hope A Life members during this difficult season. We recently lost one of our group leaders, and Madam Jane, one of our Coordinators, is critically ill at Moi Teaching and Referral Hospital in Eldoret.

Let us pray for healing, comfort, strength, and peace for all who are sick or grieving. 🙏🏽

Widows’ prayers are powerful. Let us come together in prayer, believing that God hears the cries of His people and is able to intervene in every situation.

Please keep our widows, leaders, and their families in your prayers. 🙏🏽❤️

That’s where we have been, helping to organize this important event that brings together Difference Makers from more than 10 countries. Widows’ leaders are also an integral part of the event because of the tremendous difference they make through leading and serving their support groups.

We are blessed to be represented by more than 100 delegates from different widows’ groups, coming together to connect, learn, share, and inspire one another.

One of the hardest realities many widows face is not only the loss of a husband, but also the empty promises that follow. At the funeral, many people sincerely promise to care for the family, support the children, and walk alongside the widow. Sadly, for many, those promises disappear once the burial is over. When you try to call them, they don’t respond to you because yours is a forgotten case.

This is a reminder to all of us that if you make a promise, do your best to keep it. And to every widow, while people may fail, God never fails. Put your trust in Him, for He remains faithful through every season.

Some trust in people, but our hope is in the Lord, who never abandons His own.🙏❤️

A Widow Has Freedom and the Right to Choose📢📢📢

"For if her husband dies, she is released from the law that bound her to him." — Romans 7:2

The Bible makes it clear that a widow is free. I don’t know about the other religions. Whether she chooses to remain single or remarry, that decision is hers before God and should be respected.

Remarrying does not erase the love or memories of a late husband. It simply means life continues, and every widow has the right to embrace hope, healing, and a new beginning if she desires.

Let us replace judgment with compassion and support. Every widow deserves dignity, respect, and the freedom to choose her own path.

A widow is free to heal. Free to live. Free to love again.

Mental health is a silent struggle for many widows. Grief, loneliness, anxiety, and depression are real, yet often overlooked. Every widow deserves compassion, a listening ear, and access to emotional support. Healing takes time, and no widow should have to walk that journey alone.

Some times you just want to dance for the Lord for Keeping us alive and allowing us to gather together as a group and share our experiences. God promised are YES and AMEN .

We are in Homa Bay county and it’s our prayer that God will help us to faithfully share the burdens of those He places in our lives. In this conference we are reminded that we should share each other’s burdens. That’s what God’s love is all about.

He knows our suffering.
