Consistency in Prayer Is the Key
Look at Psalm 55:17:
"Evening and morning and at noon will I pray, and cry aloud: and He shall hear my voice." (KJV)
Notice that this was David speaking.
David was a king, a man with enormous responsibilities. Yet he said:
"Evening, morning, and at noon I will pray."
In other words, he committed himself to praying at least three times a day.
Think about that.
David, with all the demands of leading a nation, maintained a consistent prayer life. Yet there are people today who are unemployed and still struggle to pray consistently.
Even if you have a job, are you busier than a king?
We often say, "I'm too busy to pray." But what does being busy really mean?
Being busy simply means you have arranged your priorities, and some things come before others.
So, if you are too busy to pray, what you are really saying is that God is not your priority.
Every success in your life should be rooted in prayer.
Never allow yourself to succeed independently of your dependence on God.
A life that experiences success without prayer can gradually become self-reliant, forgetting the One who is the source of every good gift.
Route every opportunity, every decision, every promotion, and every achievement through prayer.
That is how you remain dependent on God.
Now notice David's pattern:
Morning
Noon
Evening
It is unlikely that David spent several hours praying during each of those moments. As a king, his responsibilities would not have allowed that.
The lesson is not primarily about the length of each prayer session.
It is about consistency.
God is calling us to cultivate a lifestyle of regular fellowship with Him.
The goal is not merely intensity, it is consistency.
A consistent prayer life keeps your heart aligned with God, strengthens your faith, and reminds you daily that your life, your success, and your future all depend on Him.
