Introduction
Fanaka-Bridge is a social enterprise founded on Christian principles that trains Home Executives (domestic workers) and gets them jobs with Trusted Home Owners. We give domestic workers a life line and a second chance in life. Mission
Our mission is to transform the lives of domestic workers in Kenya. The Fanaka-Bridge Social Enterprise Concept
Fanaka-Bridge is built on a bridging
concept, whereby young ladies are recruited from Mashinani, given basic training and placed in private homes where they work as house helps (Certified Home Executives) for a maximum of 3 years. The Certified Home Executives join a savings scheme where they consistently save part of their monthly income. At the end of 3 years working as househelps, these ladies use the money they have saved as a bridge to their dream careers or businesses. In order to make bridging process successful; we offer them business mentorship skills once a month (meetings held on Sunday afternoons) such that by the end of the three years they already know what they want to do with the money they have saved. For the Home Makers, Fanaka-Bridge is professionalizing Kenya’s domestic workers sector by offering basic life skills that will make the employment relationship between house helps and HomeMakers more fruitful. Vision
To be the preferred provider of Certified House Help solutions in Kenya
