New Metropolitan Of Ankara.
The Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew and the Synod of the Holy Patriarchate of Constantinople has elected Archimandrite Gregorious as the New Metropolitan for Ankara.

Pope Leo made a symbolic tour to Istanbul's Blue Mosque. He did not pray at the Mosque despite having been invited to do so by the Imam.
Turkey is a Muslim majority Country and Cathedrals such as the famous Hagia Sophia, have been taken over and converted to mosques. This could serve as explanation of the Pope's refusal to acknowledge it right by praying at the blue Mosque.

Rome meets Greece in Instanbul. Pope Leo of the Roman Catholic Church is visiting Turkey. In His visit He was welcome by Greek Orthodox Patriarchs and Archbishops: His All Holiness Bartholomew of Constantinople, His Beatitude Theodoros II of Alexandria and Archbishop Elpidophoros of America.
The visit to Nicea and recitation of the Nicean Creed in its original form, has been termed a significant symbol of potential reunification.
