🌿 Monday of Holy Week Reflection 🌿

Today we are invited into the home of Bethany, where a beautiful act of love unfolds. Mary pours costly perfume on the feet of Jesus and wipes them with her hair—a gesture of deep humility, devotion, and total self-giving.

While others question the value of such an act, Jesus receives it as a sign of love and preparation for what is to come. In this moment, we see two attitudes: generous love that gives everything, and a guarded heart that holds back.

As we journey through Holy Week, we are called to reflect:
💭 Do I give Jesus only what is easy, or what is truly precious?
💭 Is my love for Him expressed in real, concrete acts?

Like Mary, may we not be afraid to love deeply, to give freely, and to remain close to Jesus—even as the Cross draws near.

🙏 Prayer
Lord Jesus, teach us to love You with generous hearts.
Help us to give without counting the cost
and to remain faithful in every moment. Amen.

This holy season of Lent invites us to slow down, to return to God, and to embrace simplicity.

At the Monastery of Our Lady of Light, we continue our daily work of baking bread — a humble reminder of God’s provision and love. 🍞🙏

In this time of prayer, fasting, and charity, we offer our work and our lives for the intentions of all who support us and walk this journey of faith with us.

As we prepare our hearts for Easter, may we learn to hunger not only for bread, but for righteousness, peace, and the presence of God.
