In one of the most shocking moments recorded in the Bible, the mighty **Assyrian Empire surrounded the city of Jerusalem with an army of 185,000 soldiers.
Their king, Sennacherib, believed nothing could stop his empire.
Cities had already fallen. Nations had already surrendered.
But Jerusalem’s king, Hezekiah, chose a different strategy.
Instead of surrendering, he prayed to God for help.
That night, according to the Bible, the Angel of the Lord entered the Assyrian camp.
By morning… 185,000 soldiers were dead.
No battle.
No swords.
Just silence.
