1 Samuel 17:31-37
[31]Now when the words which David spoke were heard, they reported them to Saul; and he sent for him.
[32]Then David said to Saul, “Let no man’s heart fail because of him; your servant will go and fight with this Philistine.”
[33]And Saul said to David, “You are not able to go against this Philistine to fight with him; for you are a youth, and he a man of war from his youth.”
[34]But David said to Saul, “Your servant used to keep his father’s sheep, and when a lion or a bear came and took a lamb out of the flock,
[35]I went out after it and struck it, and delivered the lamb from its mouth; and when it arose against me, I caught it by its beard, and struck and killed it.
[36]Your servant has killed both lion and bear; and this uncircumcised Philistine will be like one of them, seeing he has defied the armies of the living God.”
[37]Moreover David said, “The Lord, who delivered me from the paw of the lion and from the paw of the bear, He will deliver me from the hand of this Philistine.” And Saul said to David, “Go, and the Lord be with you!”

Isaiah 57:18-21
[18]I have seen his ways, and will heal him; I will also lead him, And restore comforts to him And to his mourners.
[19]“I create the fruit of the lips: Peace, peace to him who is far off and to him who is near,” Says the Lord, “And I will heal him.”
[20]But the wicked are like the troubled sea, When it cannot rest, Whose waters cast up mire and dirt.
[21]“There is no peace,” Says my God, “for the wicked.”

FASTING THAT PLEASES GOD

Isaiah 58:1-7
[1]“Cry aloud, spare not; Lift up your voice like a trumpet; Tell My people their transgression, And the house of Jacob their sins.
[2]Yet they seek Me daily, And delight to know My ways, As a nation that did righteousness, And did not forsake the ordinance of their God. They ask of Me the ordinances of justice; They take delight in approaching God.
[3]‘Why have we fasted,’ they say, ‘and You have not seen? Why have we afflicted our souls, and You take no notice?’ “In fact, in the day of your fast you find pleasure, And exploit all your laborers.
[4]Indeed you fast for strife and debate, And to strike with the fist of wickedness. You will not fast as you do this day, To make your voice heard on high.
[5]Is it a fast that I have chosen, A day for a man to afflict his soul? Is it to bow down his head like a bulrush, And to spread out sackcloth and ashes? Would you call this a fast, And an acceptable day to the Lord?
[6]“Is this not the fast that I have chosen: To loose the bonds of wickedness, To undo the heavy burdens, To let the oppressed go free, And that you break every yoke?
[7]Is it not to share your bread with the hungry, And that you bring to your house the poor who are cast out; When you see the naked, that you cover him, And not hide yourself from your own flesh?

PRAYER TO GOD IN TIMES OF TROUBLE

Psalms 43:1-5
[1]Vindicate me, O God, And plead my cause against an ungodly nation; Oh, deliver me from the deceitful and unjust man!
[2]For You are the God of my strength; Why do You cast me off? Why do I go mourning because of the oppression of the enemy?
[3]Oh, send out Your light and Your truth! Let them lead me; Let them bring me to Your holy hill And to Your tabernacle.
[4]Then I will go to the altar of God, To God my exceeding joy; And on the harp I will praise You, O God, my God.
[5]Why are you cast down, O my soul? And why are you disquieted within me? Hope in God; For I shall yet praise Him, The help of my countenance and my God.

FELLOWSHIP WITH GOD



Walking in the light means John is which John shows in the rest of the letter is the opposite of walking in the darkness of sin, ignorance and error.
It means to renounce sin and all that is against the word of God. And put into practice all what the word of God tells. Be what we are supposed to be and do what we are supposed to do. If we are to walk in the light we must have the the light, it is the work of God to bring us into it. 2 Corinthians 4:6.

1 John 1:7
[7]But if we walk in the light as He is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus Christ His Son cleanses us from all sin.

LOVE AND OBEDIENCE REWARDED

NKJV Bible. Deuteronomy 11:22-32
[22]“For if you carefully keep all these commandments which I command you to do—to love the Lord your God, to walk in all His ways, and to hold fast to Him—
[23]then the Lord will drive out all these nations from before you, and you will dispossess greater and mightier nations than yourselves.
[24]Every place on which the sole of your foot treads shall be yours: from the wilderness and Lebanon, from the river, the River Euphrates, even to the Western Sea, shall be your territory.
[25]No man shall be able to stand against you; the Lord your God will put the dread of you and the fear of you upon all the land where you tread, just as He has said to you.
[26]“Behold, I set before you today a blessing and a curse:
[27]the blessing, if you obey the commandments of the Lord your God which I command you today;
[28]and the curse, if you do not obey the commandments of the Lord your God, but turn aside from the way which I command you today, to go after other gods which you have not known.
[29]Now it shall be, when the Lord your God has brought you into the land which you go to possess, that you shall put the blessing on Mount Gerizim and the curse on Mount Ebal.
[30]Are they not on the other side of the Jordan, toward the setting sun, in the land of the Canaanites who dwell in the plain opposite Gilgal, beside the terebinth trees of Moreh?
[31]For you will cross over the Jordan and go in to possess the land which the Lord your God is giving you, and you will possess it and dwell in it.
[32]And you shall be careful to observe all the statutes and judgments which I set before you today.

Not once the nation of Israel has been in a position to be executed from the face of the earth.
But all the times due to who they are and the knowledge of who they belong to, they stood still,prayed, praised,woshiped as they waited for their salvation
