“Uwepo wa Mungu: Tumaini letu”

Je, umewahi kuhisi k**a uko peke yako katika safari yako ya maisha? Katika nyakati za giza, tunahitaji mwanga wa matumaini. Katika ulimwengu huu wa machafuko, ambapo watu wanatafuta majibu, kuna swali moja muhimu: Je, Mungu yuko pamoja nasi?
Wanadamu wanakabiliwa na hali ya dhambi, kutengwa na Mungu, na hitaji la wokovu. Dhambi inatufanya tuwe mbali na Mungu, na bila uwepo Wake, hatuwezi kupata amani ya kweli. Tunahitaji kujua kwamba bila Mungu, hatuwezi kufanikiwa katika maisha yetu.
“Ni kwa njia ya Kristo pekee ambapo wenye dhambi wanaweza kusamehewa na kupokea uzima wa milele.”
Leo, tutachunguza hitaji letu, mpango wa Mungu, na jibu lako. Tutakutana na ukweli wa jinsi Mungu anavyotaka kuwa pamoja nasi katika safari yetu ya maisha.
“Hebu tusikie kile Neno la Mungu linasema kuhusu hili…”
“Musa akamwambia Bwana, Tazama, umeniambia, Upeleke watu hawa; lakini hujanionyesha ni nani utakayempeleka pamoja nami; na ingawa umeniambia, Nimekutafuta kwa jina lako, na umenipata na kibali machoni pako;” (Kutoka 33:12).
Katika mistari hii, Musa anazungumza na Mungu kuhusu uhusiano wao. Anatambua kuwa dhambi inatufanya tuwe mbali na Mungu. Kila mmoja wetu amekosea na kuanguka katika dhambi, na hii inatufanya tuwe mbali na utukufu wa Mungu.
Dhambi ni ya ulimwengu mzima. Kila mtu amekosea, na hakuna anayeweza kujikomboa mwenyewe. Hii inatufanya tuwe na haja ya wokovu.
Dhambi inat separation kutoka kwa Mungu na inaletaa hukumu. K**a vile Musa alivyokuwa akihisi kutengwa na Mungu, vivyo hivyo, dhambi zetu zinatufanya tuwe mbali na uwepo wa Mungu.
Fikiria daraja lililovunjika kati ya Mungu na mwanadamu. Dhambi zetu zinatufanya tushindwe kuvuka daraja hilo. Tunahitaji kujua kwamba bila Mungu, hatuwezi kufikia uzima wa milele.
Tunapaswa kutambua hitaji letu binafsi la msamaha. Je, umewahi kufikiria kuhusu dhambi zako na jinsi zinavyokutenga na Mungu? Ni wakati wa kutambua kwamba tunahitaji wokovu Wake.
Sasa, hebu tuangalie jibu la Mungu kwa tatizo letu.
“Kwa maana Mungu aliupenda ulimwengu hivi kwamba alitoa Mwanawe wa pekee, ili kila amwaminiye asipotee, bali awe na uzima wa milele.” (Yohana 3:16).
Mungu alitupenda na kututumia Mwanawe, Yesu Kristo, ili kufa kwa ajili yetu. Hii ni zawadi kubwa zaidi ambayo tunaweza kupokea. Yesu alichukua adhabu ya dhambi zetu msalabani, akifanya hivyo ili tuweze kuwa na uhusiano wa karibu na Mungu.
Kristo alichukua adhabu yetu msalabani. Alikuwa msalaba wa dhambi zetu, akifanya hivyo ili sisi tupate msamaha.
Kristo alifufuka ili kutupa uzima wa milele. Kifo chake hakikuwa mwisho, bali mwanzo wa tumaini letu. Kwa kupitia ufufuo Wake, tunapata hakikisho la uzima wa milele.
Fikiria mfano wa mtu asiye na hatia anayechukua adhabu ya mtu mwenye hatia. Hii ni picha ya jinsi Kristo alivyotufanyia. Alijitolea kwa ajili yetu ili tuweze kuishi.
Tazama kwamba wokovu ni zawadi ya bure kutoka kwa Mungu, si kazi zetu. Je, umepokea zawadi hii? Ni wakati wa kuangalia ndani ya moyo wako na kuona jinsi Mungu anavyokuita.
Sasa, hebu tuangalie wito wa kujibu.
“Nikaandika, Ndugu, kwamba mnapaswa kuamini Bwana Yesu, na mtakapofanya hivyo, mtakolewa.” (Matendo 16:31).
Imani na toba zinahitajika ili kupokea wokovu. Tunapaswa kumwamini Yesu Kristo k**a Bwana wetu na Mwokozi. Hii ni hatua muhimu katika safari yetu ya imani.
Amini katika Bwana Yesu Kristo. Hii ni hatua ya kwanza ya kuingia katika uhusiano wa karibu na Mungu.
Geuka kutoka kwa dhambi na umkiri k**a Bwana. Hii ni hatua ya pili, ambapo tunapaswa kuacha njia zetu za zamani na kumfuata Kristo.
Fikiria kuhusu mfungwa wa Filipi alivyomwamini Yesu. Alikuwa katika giza, lakini alikubali mwanga wa Kristo na kuokolewa. Hii ni mfano wa jinsi Mungu anavyoweza kubadilisha maisha yetu.
wokovu ni wa dharura. Usichelewe, kwa sababu Mungu anataka kuwa na uhusiano wa karibu nawe sasa hivi.
Hebu tuweke mkazo juu ya dharura na matumaini.
Ni Kristo pekee anayeweza kuokoa.
Tumekutana na tatizo letu, mpango wa Mungu, na jibu letu. Dhambi inatufanya tuwe mbali na Mungu, lakini Kristo alikuja kutuokoa.
Nakuomba, fanya uamuzi sasa. Tubu na umwamini Kristo. Usikose nafasi hii ya wokovu.
Mungu anatoa msamaha, uzima wa milele, na mwanzo mpya. Hii ni ahadi Yake kwetu.
“Lakini wote waliompokea, aliwapa uwezo wa kuwa watoto wa Mungu, yaani, wale wamwaminiye jina lake.” (Yohana 1:12).
Hebu tuwe na muda wa kujibu wito wa Mungu.
Katika majira haya, tunapaswa kutafakari juu ya wito wa Mungu katika maisha yetu. Mungu anataka kuwa pamoja nasi, na ni wakati wa kujibu wito Wake.
"Show Us Your Glory"
Have you ever felt lost in the midst of your struggles, yearning for direction and clarity? Perhaps you’ve faced a crossroads in life, where the weight of decisions looms heavy, and you find yourself asking, “God, where are You in all of this?” In a world filled with chaos and uncertainty, the longing for divine presence and guidance is a universal human experience. We often seek assurance that we are not alone, that there is a purpose behind our trials, and that we can encounter the living God in our daily lives.
The problem we face is profound: our sin has separated us from God, leaving us in a state of spiritual disarray. We are like wanderers in a desert, searching for water, yet finding only mirages. The truth is, we need a Savior who can bridge the gap between our brokenness and God’s holiness.
The big idea of today’s message is this: “Only through Christ can sinners be forgiven and receive eternal life.” As we delve into Exodus 33:12-15, we will explore our need for God’s presence, His provision of grace, and our urgent response to His call.
Let’s hear what God’s Word says about this…
Scripture: Exodus 33:12-13 (KJV): “And Moses said unto the Lord, See, thou sayest unto me, Bring up this people: and thou hast not let me know whom thou wilt send with me. Yet thou hast said, I know thee by name, and thou hast also found grace in my sight.”
In this passage, we see Moses grappling with the weight of leadership and the burden of sin that separates humanity from God. The first step in understanding our need for God is recognizing the problem of sin. Romans 3:23 tells us, “For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God.” This universal truth highlights that no one is exempt from the consequences of sin.
Sin is universal. Just as Moses felt the weight of his people’s sin, we too must acknowledge that we are all part of this fallen condition. Sin is not merely an action; it is a state of being that affects every aspect of our lives. It creates a chasm between us and our Creator, leading to spiritual death and separation.
Sin separates from God and brings judgment. The consequences of sin are dire. Isaiah 53:6 states, “All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned every one to his own way.” This turning away from God leads to judgment. Like a broken bridge, our sin prevents us from crossing over into a relationship with God. We are left stranded, unable to reach the other side where grace and mercy await.
Imagine standing on one side of a vast canyon, with no bridge in sight. You can see the beauty of the other side, but the gap is too wide to cross. This is the reality of sin; it creates a barrier that we cannot overcome on our own.
Recognize your personal need for forgiveness. Just as Moses sought God’s presence, we must come to terms with our sinfulness and the need for a Savior. Are you aware of the distance your sin has created between you and God? It is only when we acknowledge our brokenness that we can truly seek His grace.
Now that we understand the problem of sin, let’s look at God’s answer to our plight.
Scripture: Exodus 33:14 (KJV): “And he said, My presence shall go with thee, and I will give thee rest.”
In this verse, God reassures Moses of His presence. This promise is a foreshadowing of the ultimate provision God would make through Jesus Christ. John 3:16 declares, “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.” God’s love compelled Him to send His Son to bridge the gap created by sin.
Christ bore our penalty on the cross. The weight of our sin was placed upon Jesus as He hung on the cross, bearing the punishment we deserved. Romans 5:8 reminds us, “But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.” This act of sacrificial love demonstrates the depth of God’s grace.
Christ rose again to give eternal life. The resurrection of Christ is the cornerstone of our faith. It signifies victory over sin and death, offering us the hope of eternal life. Just as God promised His presence to Moses, He promises us His presence through the Holy Spirit when we accept Christ as our Savior.
Consider the analogy of a substitute in a courtroom. Imagine a defendant who is guilty of a crime, facing a harsh sentence. Suddenly, an innocent person steps forward and offers to take the punishment on their behalf. This is what Christ did for us—He took our place, allowing us to go free.
See that salvation is God’s free gift, not your work. We cannot earn our way to God; it is only through faith in Christ that we receive forgiveness and restoration. Have you accepted this gift? Are you resting in the assurance of His presence?
Now that we have seen God’s provision, let’s explore how we are called to respond.
Scripture: Exodus 33:15 (KJV): “And he said unto him, If thy presence go not with me, carry us not up hence.”
Moses understood the importance of God’s presence. He recognized that without it, they could not move forward. This leads us to our response to God’s grace. Acts 16:31 states, “Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved.” Our response requires both faith and repentance.
Believe in the Lord Jesus Christ. Faith is the foundation of our relationship with God. We must trust in Jesus as our Lord and Savior, believing that He is the only way to salvation. This belief is not merely intellectual; it requires a heart transformation.
Turn from sin and confess Him as Lord. Repentance involves a turning away from our old ways and a commitment to follow Christ. Romans 10:9-10 emphasizes the necessity of confessing with our mouth and believing in our heart. This is an active response to God’s call.
Consider the story of the Philippian jailer in Acts 16. After witnessing the miraculous events surrounding Paul and Silas, he asked, “Sirs, what must I do to be saved?” Their response was simple yet profound: “Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ.” His immediate response was to believe, and his life was forever changed.
Decide today—salvation is urgent. Just as Moses sought God’s presence, we must seek Him with urgency. Are you ready to respond to His call? Don’t wait until tomorrow; today is the day of salvation.
As we reflect on our need, God’s provision, and our response, let’s emphasize the urgency and hope found in Christ.
Let us restate the big idea: only Christ saves. We have explored the problem of sin that separates us from God, the incredible provision of grace through Jesus Christ, and the urgent call to respond in faith and repentance.
Remember that our problem is sin, God’s provision is His Son, and your response is critical. I invite you to consider where you stand today. Are you still on the other side of the canyon, or have you crossed over into the grace of God?
I direct this appeal to you: repent and trust Christ now. The promise of assurance is clear—when we accept Him, we receive forgiveness, eternal life, and a new beginning. John 1:12 assures us, “But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name.”
Revelation 3:20 reminds us of His invitation: “Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me.”
