Blessed 12th Sunday of Matthew! ☦️🙏
Today’s Gospel Matthew 19:16–26 reminded us to live a good life, keep God's commandments and above all always trust in the Lord for with God nothing is impossible.
We also had a wonderful day as our youths celebrated Old fashioned Day bringing joy unity laughter and fellowship to our community. Their participation made the day truly memorable and successful. ❤️
As our students prepare to return to school we wish them wisdom good health protection and success in their studies. We are grateful to Fr. Dr. John Njoroge for offering a special prayer for them. May God guide and protect them always.
May the Lord bless us all strengthen our faith and grant us a blessed week ahead.

Today's Gospel was truly powerful. By the goodness and grace of God, our student and seminarian Dominic had the privilege of sharing the Word of God at Prophet Elias Orthodox Church.
What a blessed day it was, learning from the Gospel according to St. Matthew 18:23–35 about the importance of forgiveness and mercy. Christ reminds us that because God has forgiven us so much we too must learn to forgive others from our hearts.
Forgiveness does not mean that the wrong was right, nor does it mean forgetting the pain. It means refusing to allow anger hatred and revenge to control our hearts and instead leaving everything in the hands of God.
Let us remember that we cannot sincerely ask God Lord. have mercy on me while refusing to show mercy to others. As Christ has taught us let us forgive one another pray for one another and strive to keep our hearts free from resentment.
May this Sunday's Gospel remain in our hearts throughout the week and guide us to live with humility love mercy and forgiveness.
May the Holy Prophet Elias intercede for us all before our Lord Jesus Christ. 🙏☦️

Lord have mercy Lord have mercy Lord have mercy.

Blessed and peaceful week ahead, dear brethren. 🙏☦️

Today’s sermon, drawn from Matthew 17:14–23, focused on the importance and power of faith. We were reminded to trust in God, even when faced with situations that may seem impossible, knowing that nothing is beyond His power.
Following the sermon, we had the joy of blessing and dedicating a new car belonging to Paul Kithinji Mfalme Pau We entrusted the vehicle and every journey it will make into God’s loving hands, praying for protection, guidance, and safe travels.
May this new car be a blessing, and may every journey be covered by God’s grace and protection.

Yesterday, we were deeply honored to welcome H.E. Bishop Makarios on his pastoral visit to Prophet Elias Orthodox Church. His Grace, who consecrated this parish in 2005, returned to fellowship with the faithful, offer prayers, and strengthen us through his inspiring message and apostolic blessings. His visit was a beautiful reminder of God's enduring faithfulness and the spiritual journey of our parish over the years. We thank God for this special occasion and pray that He continues to grant His Grace good health, wisdom, and many more years of fruitful ministry in the service of Christ and His Holy Church. Glory be to God! 🙏⛪

*Only speak a word, and my servant will be healed.”* Mathew 8:5-13
Today’s sermon drew us into the extraordinary faith of the centurion a Gentile soldier who understood authority better than most. He recognized that Jesus Christ carries absolute authority. He did not demand Jesus’ physical presence. He believed that a single word from the Lord was enough to bring healing.
We were challenged to examine the depth of our own faith. Do we only trust Christ when we can see Him moving? Or do we believe, like the centurion, that His word alone is sufficient? True faith does not rest on visible proof. It rests on the power and authority of the Lord who speaks and it is done.
When Jesus speaks, the impossible becomes possible. Healing comes. Fear is silenced by peace. Brokenness is mended. Hope is restored. His word is living, active, and never fails.
May today’s message ignite deeper trust in God, prayer that does not doubt, and bold declarations in every season of life: _“Lord, only speak a word, and Your servant will be healed.”_

May the Word we have received today take root in our hearts, strengthen our faith, and draw us closer to Christ, our Healer and Lord. Amen. 🙏

"Seek first the Kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added unto you." — Matthew 6:33

In a world that constantly urges us to chase wealth, success, recognition, and worldly security, Christ calls us to a different priority: to seek God's Kingdom above all else. Seeking the Kingdom of God means placing Him at the center of our thoughts, decisions, desires, and daily lives. It means trusting His plans even when we cannot see the way forward, obeying His Word even when it is difficult, and choosing faith over fear.
Today's sermon reminded us that worry cannot add a single day to our lives, but trust in God brings peace that surpasses understanding. When we seek His Kingdom first, we learn to depend on His provision, rest in His promises, and find our true purpose in serving Him. God already knows our needs before we ask, and He remains faithful to provide for His children.
May we fix our eyes on heavenly treasures rather than earthly distractions, pursue righteousness rather than temporary pleasures, and trust that as we put God first, everything else will fall into its rightful place according to His perfect will.

In Loving Memory of Kinoti Kiuruga M'mwongera 🕯️

Today, the faithful of Prophet Elias Orthodox Church and friends gathered with heavy hearts to bid farewell to our beloved brother, Kinoti Kiuruga M'mwongera.

Mwalimu Kinoti was a devoted member of our church family whose faith, humility, and kindness touched many lives. He worshipped faithfully, served God with dedication, and was always ready to encourage and support others. His presence among us was a blessing, and his commitment to Christ remains an inspiration to all who knew him.

As we laid him to rest today, we remembered a life lived in faith and entrusted his soul to the mercy and love of our Lord Jesus Christ. Though we mourn his departure from this earthly life, we take comfort in the hope of the Resurrection and the promise of eternal life.

May the Lord grant rest to the soul of His servant, Kinoti Kiuruga M'mwongera, in a place of light, peace, and refreshment, where there is neither sorrow, nor pain, nor suffering, but life everlasting.

Our prayers and heartfelt condolences go to his family, relatives, and friends during this difficult time. May God strengthen and comfort them.
