Each of God's saints is sent into the world to reveal a different aspect of God's character. In Heaven, we will be able to look back at the experiences of all the saints and see the complete picture of God's character as it has been proven and displayed. Each Christian reveals a different part of God, and when all these parts come together, they will shine like a great sun, displaying a beautiful revelation of God through Christian experience.
Faith grows strongest when everything is against it; storms train it, and lightning illuminates it. When the sea is calm, the ship makes no progress; on a still ocean, the keel lies dormant. But when the winds howl and the waves rise, though the deck may be washed over with water and the mast creaks under the pressure of the swelling sail, that’s when the ship speeds. In Psalm 23, David compares God to a shepherd to create a picture in our mind of God’s great love and care for us. Jesus uses the same metaphor in John 10 to reveal a similar picture. The depth of God’s love causes him to provide, protect, and guide his children. The death and resurrection of Jesus Christ is our beautiful picture of how far God goes to guide us to him. “To not want” means we will have everything we need to accomplish God’s purpose in our lives whether that’s parenting our children, providing for our family, or serving in our church. It also means we can be content with how God cares and provides for us even in times of hardship because we can trust his love and commitment to us. He is our shepherd and we do not need to want anything more.

Whether you are in a season of hardship, rejoicing, or a mix of both, the key is to keep walking in faith one step at a time. Only the risen Christ can guide us through the foggy path of life. And when our final Easter morning arrives, we'll finally see with clarity that the journey was worth it. Reflect on the "little resurrections" in your life the times God answered a prayer in a very tangible way, the blessings in your life, and the miracles you've witnessed. All these serve as reminders of the great work God will continue to do in your life.

New Mercies Every Morning.
“The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases; his mercies never come to an end; they are new every morning; great is your faithfulness.”
(Lamentations 3:22-23)
The book of Lamentations is a lament, or a book of sorrow and pain due to the consequences of sin by the Israelites. However, in the middle of all this despair, we find a verse of hope. Today’s verse reminds us that no matter our circumstance, God's love is never ending. He is faithful and his mercies are made new every morning. Mercy is God's forgiveness when we don't deserve it. It is his pardon of our sin when He has every right to make us pay for what we've done. It's His compassion towards us. Every morning we are lavished with a fresh dose of His mercy to start new. No matter what we do, God is God and he has decided to love us and show us His mercy. We are not perfect and we will make mistakes, but God shows us His mercy each day because He is faithful.
