THE DAY I CHEATED ON MY BELOVED SPOUSE

After a glorious Sunday service and after attending other group meetings, we were both visibly tired. Church service ended before 12 noon, but we got home around 2:30pm.

On getting home, both of us wanted to retire to the bedroom and get some rest.
It was then I remembered that I announced in church that NO MARRIED WOMAN MUST ENTER THE KITCHEN that afternoon.

The first lady of every home, deserves to be pampered and shown tender loving care (TLC).
For a Brief moment , I thought within myself...."how on earth did I make that announcement in church today??" (As pastor, its easier to give commands)
But the die is already cast, I must fulfill my obligation. (we must obey instructions from the pulpit)

I watched my wife enter the bedroom, while I sluggishly made my way to the kitchen. It felt like a very long lonely road. While walking to the kitchen, I knew exactly how she felt every time she had to be in that kitchen alone by herself. To cut the short story long
(Don't mind me oo)

I got down to business.. I sweated it out alone in the kitchen. After about an hour and a half in the kitchen, I heard my wife calling out to me from the living room,
"Darling, is the food ready now?..I am so hungry"

I could not believe my ears, I thought to myself "Was she talking to her maid or a paid cook? How can somebody just get up from the bed and be asking for food?" (It didn't make sense to me at all)

Then I remembered how I have done the same thing to her countless number of times. Mine was even more like Yelling...just because food was not ready.
but wait... "how did she survive me on those tense days....especially when I was mad at her because food wasn't ready?"

Realising my own shortcomings, I quickly borrowed myself 'some sense'....I adjusted myself and decided to play along...

"Babe, the food is ready".
She rushed into the kitchen. On entering the kitchen, you can see the big disappointment in her eyes...

" Honey, where is the food?"
I responded giggling..."that is it on the fire"
"Just chicken?"

I defended myself.. "Is chicken not food?"

Can't you see that the burner is extremely slow, its not my fault" (I even blamed the oven)
Then she examined the burner, and burst into laughter. She laughed very hard.

"Why are you laughing?" I asked
"Oh honey, the heat regulator is set to the lowest level, you should have increased it"

Now, I didn't find that funny..."You mean I have been waiting patiently for nothing??"
Ignoring me, she adjusted the burner and the heat was at the maximum level in no time. (I guess the law of diminishing returns had set-in for me)

"Dear, I cannot wait for your food again, I'm famished"
I je**ed, "so what do you want me to do?" (Sebi, its mothers day, We don enter am today)
"Can you quickly fry some eggs for me pls?"
"No problem. Anything for my sweetheart" (though I was weak and tired)

She left me in the kitchen and went back to the sitting room. She settled down with her phone while I settled down with the cooking. (Diaris God oo)

At first I wanted to protest...."What is all these...gan na?" But when I remembered how I usually cross my legs to watch live football matches on TV..while she sweats it out in the kitchen... I became very gentle!

I quickly took enough fresh eggs to fry...and also ordered for fresh bread.
In no time, food was ready. I set the table for my Queen.

Without wasting time, she descended on the meal like a hungry lion.
"Babe, won't you say anything to me about the meal" (I knew the meal was tasty, so I was DESPERATE to hear her compliment. That will make a good CONSOLATION)

But to my uttermost amazement, what she said next came as a rude shock to me.
"My dear husband, this is exactly how you usually eat my meals without passing any complement. You only say thank you after enjoying the meal and THAT IS ALL".

"What!!!...Seriously!!!....was I this callous to my Wife?...
I didn't realise that I wasn't very nice to her"...I felt very terrible.
Here I was, demanding Kindness, where I haven't sown enough kindness.
It felt like I have not been playing fair.....IT FELT LIKE I HAVE BEEN CHEATING MY WIFE.

CHEATING is not limited to Adultery or sexual immorality.
CHEATING is when one partner is making MORE sacrifice than the other.

CHEATING is when one partner is MORE forbearing and showing MORE COMMITTMENT than the other.
CHEATING is when your APPRECIATION is not commensurate with the EFFORTS of your partner.

CHEATING is always taking from your patner but not giving anything back.
Examine youself today. If you are guilty of this, pls repent and STOP CHEATING YOUR PARTNER.

“My mentor Copeland said, the Lord said to him, ‘Go back to all the teachings of Hagin since 1962.’ He turned 84 last week and he is refreshing to step into the next phase of his ministry.”

That’s how giants of faith are built!
Faith does not drop on people, Faith is a virtue that demands the personal responsibility of everyone that desires to see it grow.

Romans 10:17
Without enlisting in the School of Faith, you can’t grow your Faith.
Without enlisting in the School of Faith under accredited Faith Masters, you can’t grow your Faith.

Without enlisting in the School of Faith under God ordained Faith Masters, you can’t grow your Faith.

That is validated by the giants of Faith in our contemporary times.
You must enlist in the School of Faith under God ordained Faith Masters who also are graduates of the School of Faith under the Masters before them.

You can’t learn tailoring from a motor mechanic workshop. You can’t fashion designing from a bakery.
Kenneth Hagin said, “I read all I could lay my hands upon of Smith Wigglesworth until something of him rubbed off me.” He never met him once, he just was a student of the school of faith, he was a student of Wigglesworth’s school of faith.
He had a clean Word of Faith mandate but he needed to school himself.

I had a global Word of Faith mandate from the Lord, after an 18 hour long vision: I’ve been in the Hagin’s School of Faith since 1976.

Ephesians 4:11-13, Romans 10:15
You learn anything from those who have it; those who don’t have it can’t give it. You can’t give what you don’t have (Acts 3:6).

The Ministry of Frederick K.C Price opened up as he read the book, ‘Delivered from Sickness, Poverty and Death’: little book that by Kenneth Hagin wrote, that opened up that ministry.

It was from the writings of Oswald J Smith that I caught the light and fire of Matthew chapter 6 verse 33: the book titled ‘The man God uses.’ That gave a clear bearing for my life, I was 22 years old.

It was from the writings of T.L Osborne that I heard the voice of the Spirit of God for the first time: “Go Forward” – majestic, baritonic, unmistakable; that voice hasn’t changed since I caught the first time.
“This is the place” – you can’t hear the voice of your father and not know. You’ll know it.

I read that book in one sitting, I was arrested by the Holy Ghost and He connected me to destiny.
No guess work here!!!
You can only access it from those who have it. That’s the humility we must have to learn.

Recently I stated by the inspiration of the Holy Spirit:
“What you don’t know, you don’t know
What you won’t learn, you can’t learn know
What you don’t know, you will pay for it” (Hosea 4:6).

What you don’t know, will cost you something: stagnation, frustration, devastation (Isaiah 5:13, Hosea 4:6)
Our cell system was crawling and by the year 2011, I said No. I bought 400 copies of the book of Yonggi Cho on ‘Building Successful Home Cells’ and gave it out to 400 Pastors in Lagos: I said for each one to study, then we gather and find out:

- what we should be doing that we are not doing,

- what we should be doing that we are doing,

- what we should be doing but we are not doing well enough.

Cells skyrocketed from 3,000 to about 16,000 by the following year.
You want Church growth: learn at the feet of those that are sent to set the pace for what you are looking for and register in their school to acquire it.

I sat with the books of Kenneth Copeland, my very revered mentor and began to devour it: suddenly light broke out from heaven; changed my perspective, changed my position and this is the grace of God today. The least concern of my life is finance! The least of the least forever.

- If it is needed, it is a snap of the finger, without calling on any man under heaven.

- We saw Covenant University built in 7 months. One of the first generation banks came down here and said, “which bank is bankrolling this project?”

- Relax: we are bankrolled from where you don’t know. Bankrolled from heaven.

Many are struggling Night and Day because they won’t learn.
Just take the book, ‘Understanding Financial Prosperity’ and ask God to open your eyes to see what is being said.
Take the book, ‘Breaking Financial Hardship’ and ask God to show you what it takes.

Many are struggling in Ministry but will they read ‘Exploits in Ministry’? No
How will they know it? Never
I read ‘6 Steps to Excellence in Ministry’ by Kenneth Copeland – powerful. I have up to 10 copies of it in my shelf. It helps to define the reality of take off and the excitement of continuity.

Everything about life thrives on knowledge. You can’t have a change of level in the School of Faith without learning at the feet of the masters, God sent masters who also are graduates of other masters before them. That’s the way it works.

We were in Kenneth Hagin’s office one day: there he was, reading the book of T.L Osborne on the ‘Faith that Works.’ You mean an Evangelist, a celebrated Word of Faith Apostle on ‘The Faith That Works’…with a smile.

You read Hagin’s book: you are reading from a reader. It’s not this protein kind of writing that does not have any base. You are reading from those who have proved what they know, what they have acquired from other sources (1 Corinthians 8:2).
“…greater works shall he do also” (John 14:12)
The question is where am I now in that process?
That’s what drives me: where am I now in that process? Doing beyond what Jesus did, Doing exactly what He did; but many of us will get there by untiring commitment to taking responsibility in building our faith.

So he went and chartered all the materials, to refresh himself, to step into the next phase of his ministry. He turned 84 last week and he is refreshing to step into the next phase of his ministry.
How old are we?
The Lord told him, “get back to the teachings of Hagin from 1962”; he went back, carted all the CDs and everything he could get.
“What’s going on there”
“Well, I took some rest and I listened to Hagin”
That’s how giants of faith are built!
I returned from a trip, my wife said, “what did you come back with?”
I said: come and see. We’ve always had a library in my home from Day 1 that we got married…I opened the first box – books.

The second box – books. She said “what else?”, I said, “that’s all else.”
I said, “the contents of these books can make me a manufacturer of those things I would have bought.”
You need a renewed value for knowledge. There are many encounters God has reserved for you but your faith is not developed enough to carry it. You need capacity to receive.
To prove that you receive, you pursue. It’s not all these floating, confess and proclaim and claim.
You need capacity. Our faith capacity must change level to maximize any encounter with God. consciously cultivated, no assumptions.

God has a lot of ‘Change of Levels’ Packages but can your faith handle it?

Welcome to another encounter with king of kings.You must understand that the journey of life is full of MOCKERS and haters.They are there to mock you and get you distracted from fulfilling your destiny. DON'T give them attention.Don't try to argue with them.Don't get distracted by them.When they Lough at you that you are wasting your life and cannot fulfil your destiny, don't argue,keep quiet,and do what the Lord says you should do.

In today's scripture,when Sanballat heard the walls were being built,he started to mock them, Sanballat and Tobiah mocked the Jews and call them names,and told them they can never build the walls.They wanted to distract the Jews from fulfilling God's purpose but in verse 6 says *.....so built we the wall;and all the wall was joined together unto the half thereof: for the people had a mid to work*.... The people never gave attention to the mockery that came from Sanballat and Tobiah.They were not distracted by their mockers.They didn't mind the insult.All the people had was a mind to Work and accomplish the work,so nothing could move them to shift attention.

Be LIKE Jews today,have the mind to do what you have been commissioned to do,and do not listen to any my mockery or insult from adversary.Don't give attention to mockery! Don't get distracted By MOCKERS.Pursue your dreams and visions.They will Lough at you but keep going.They call you names but keep going.They insult you but don't pay attention to them.Only have the mind to accomplish your goals.Don't be distracted.Pray now.
