*🫂EXTREME KINDNESS🤗*

*_No hĩndĩ ĩrĩa tha na wendo wa Ngai Mũhonokia witũ ciaguũranĩirio, nĩatũhonokirie_*. (Titus 3:4, 5)

*Jehoiachin, the exiled king of Judah, was also the recipient of extreme kindness.* He’d been incarcerated for thirty-seven years before the benevolence of the Babylonian king resulted in his release. “[The king] freed him from prison. *He spoke kindly to him and gave him a seat of honor higher than those of the other kings who were with him in Babylon”* (Jeremiah 52:31–32). Jehoiachin was given a new position, new clothes, and a new residence. His new life was fully funded by the king. This story pictures what happens spiritually when, out of no contributions from themselves or others, people who believe in Jesus’ death and resurrection are rescued from their estrangement from God. *_They’re brought from darkness and death into light and life; they’re brought into the family of God because of the extreme kindness of God. What acts of human kindness have reminded you of God’s goodness? How do you respond to the kindness of God who welcomes you into His family based on what Jesus has done?_*

*🤷‍♀️IS EVERYTHING AGAINST ME?🙋‍♂*

*_Maũndũinĩ macio moothe-rĩ, tũkiuge atĩa? Angĩkorwo Ngai arĩ mwena witũ-rĩ, nũũ ũngĩkĩrũa na ithuĩ?_* (Romans 8:31)

*The Bible tells us of Jacob’s grave hardships. Jacob believed his son Joseph had been “torn to pieces” by a “ferocious animal”* (Genesis 37:33). Then his son Simeon was held captive in a foreign country, and Jacob feared his son Benjamin would be taken from him as well. Overcome, he cried out, *“Everything is against me!”* (42:36). But it wasn’t. Little did Jacob know that his son Joseph was very much alive and that God was at work “behind the scenes” to restore his family. Their story illustrates how He can be trusted even when we can’t see His hand in our circumstances. *_Our vision is limited, but God’s isn’t. And with Jesus as our hope, “if God is for us, who can be against us?”_* (Romans 8:31). May we place our trust in Him today. *How have you seen God bring good out of difficulty? Where do you need to trust Him?*

*🙏BE STILL🧏*

*_Hoorera mbere ya Jehova na ũmweterere ũtegũthethũka..,_* (Psalm 37:7)

*We can rest most comfortably in the stillness of the presence of God, who renews our strength and grants us the wisdom we need to tackle the challenges we face each day*. When we’re still, silencing the noise and removing distractions in our lives, He strengthens us so we can hear His gentle voice more clearly (Psalm 37:7). God offers us a simpler way to spend uninterrupted time with Him. *_He says, “When you pray, go into your room, close the door and pray to your Father”_* (Matthew 6:6). God will guide our steps and allow His righteousness to shine brightly through us when we seek the answers to life’s challenges in the stillness of His magnificent presence (Psalm 37:5–6). *What are some things that consume your time? How can you make more room for quiet time with God?*

Kikuyu Bible. Luka 12:10
[10]“Mũndũ o wothe waragia kiugo gĩa gũcambia Mũrũ wa Mũndũ nĩakooherwo, no rĩĩrĩ, ũrĩa ũrumaga Roho Mũtheru ndakooherwo.
And whosoever shall speak a word against the Son of man, it shall be forgiven him: but unto him that blasphemeth against the Holy Ghost it shall not be forgiven.

*👍LET’S GO🧎*

*_“Hoorerai, na mũmenye atĩ niĩ nĩ niĩ Ngai…_* (Psalm 46:10)

*In a time of conflict with other nations, Israel often received these words from God: “Be still” (Psalm 46:10). “Stop striving,” He said in essence, “just follow what I say. I will fight for you.”* Israel was not being told to be passive or complacent but to be actively still—to obey God faithfully while yielding control of the situation and leaving the results of their efforts to Him. *We’re called to do the same. And we can do it because the God we trust is sovereign over the world. If “he lifts his voice [and] the earth melts,” and if He can make “wars cease to the ends of the earth”* (vv. 6, 9), then surely, we can trust in the security of His refuge and strength (v. 1). The burden of control over our life isn’t on us—it’s on God. *_How can you let go of situations that are out of your control and surrender them to God? What aspects of His character help you to surrender all to Him?_*

*🥵MOST VULNERABLE WHEN MOST PROSPEROUS!🤑*

*It is when you are most successful in life that you are most vulnerable. It is during times of ease and prosperity that the temptations are the strongest. It is when your success starts becoming obvious that you start attracting new kinds of temptations that can sweep you off your feet!* Many Christian men and women loosen off their grip on God when career growth sets in, yes, when more money starts flowing their way. Surprisingly, most of us starts coming late to church or missing fellowship when we've just bought vehicles or gotten married or having children... *With the exception of few, we often loose good Christians once they win political seats or climb the corporate ladder! Many servants of God remain humble and effective in ministry until wealth, power and fame sets in, and the fellow just turns into something else. Could you have reduced or even stopped praying a lot, reading your bible, attending weekday fellowships or Sunday services, going for missions or witnessing, all under the weight of your new expanding career, business or successful education? Take care!* In your success, still work hard to remain humble, spiritually disciplined, connected with God and His people, still serving God and living for Him. *_Know that success comes with its own kind of vulnerabilities that have capacity of sooner or later sweeping you into your destruction. Be like Joseph! Successful, growing, rising, enjoying God's favor yet still fully in touch with God and if required to, paying heavy price for obeying God! BJOY Read 1Timothy 2-4._*

*🐾MIMIC JESUS✝️*

*_Tigagaai gwĩkaga maũndũ marĩa meekagwo nĩ andũ a thĩ; rekeei Ngai agarũre mwĩciirĩrie wanyu nĩ geetha mũhotage kũmenya wendi wake nĩguo mũhotage gũkũũrana maũndũ marĩa meega, marĩa mamũkenagia na makinyanĩru_*. (Romans 12:2)

*Believers in Jesus are meant to stand out in the world that surrounds us. We may feel threatened by those who disagree with us and become tempted to blend in so we won’t be recognized as followers of Christ*. The apostle Paul, however, urges us to offer our bodies as a *“living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God”* (Romans 12:1), representing Jesus in every aspect of our lives. Friends or family members may try to pressure us to conform to the *“pattern of this world”* (v. 2). But we can show who we serve by aligning our lives with what we say we believe as God’s children. When we obey the Scriptures and reflect His loving character, our lives can demonstrate that the rewards of obedience are always greater than any loss. *_When have you been tempted to become an unrecognizable believer in Jesus? When have you become alienated from family members or friends because you chose to represent Jesus through your words and actions? How will you mimic Jesus today? BJOY Read Hebrews 7-9._*
