Greetings in the mighty name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
On 31st May, we were blessed to have wonderful church services filled with God's presence and blessings. The Praise and Worship Team, led by Rev. Sophia Kariuki , ushered the congregation into God's presence through vibrant and spirit-filled songs. We warmly welcome everyone to join us in worship and experience the goodness of the Lord.
The speaker of the service was Elder Joel Mwangi, who shared the Word of God from John 11:11 under the topic "Rafiki" (Friend).
He explained who a true friend is:
A person who is close to you.
Someone with whom you can share personal matters.
One who helps carry your burdens.
A person who stands with you during times of trouble.
Reading from Matthew 13:3-8, he taught on the weapons we can use to overcome life's battles and reminded us that we have a true friend in Jesus Christ. Jesus is faithful, loving, and always ready to help His children.
Bishop sealed the Word session with prayer. Shangilieni Choir ministered beautifully in song, and Pastor Paul Muya led the offering session, sharing from 2 Corinthians 9:8. The Praise Team ministered as offerings were received. Elder Kennedy Mjumbe read the weekly announcements, while Pastor Paul Muya acknowledged and welcomed visitors before leading the congregation in the benediction.
Second Service
The Praise and Worship Team once again led the congregation in vibrant worship.
The highlight of the service was the powerful Word delivered by Bishop Moses Kariuki translated by Jackson Njoroge . The main scripture reading was Acts 20:34-35, under the topic "Kutoa" (Giving).
Additional scriptures included:
Proverbs 3:9-10
2 Corinthians 9:6-8
Proverbs 11:24-25
Proverbs 23:6-8
1 Chronicles 29:9
Bishop taught on the importance and benefits of giving:
Giving pleases and honors God.
Giving brings God's blessings and provision.
Giving breaks the trap of greed and selfishness.
Giving has eternal rewards.
Giving brings joy and satisfaction.
What a powerful and life-changing message it was!
Shangilieni Choir once again blessed the congregation through song, while the Sunday School children delighted everyone with joyful presentations and dances.
Pastor Paul Muya led the offering session, and Bishop Moses Kariuki prayed and blessed the offerings. The Praise Team continued to minister through worship. Elder Kennedy Mjumbe read the weekly announcements, and Pastor Paul Muya acknowledged visitors. We were blessed to have three visitors worship with us.
The service concluded with Rev. Sophie leading the congregation in the benediction.
Indeed, it was a wonderful day of worship, fellowship, praise, and the Word of God. To God be all the glory
