STANDING UNSHAKEN
Scripture: “I have set the Lord always before me; because He is at my right hand I shall not be shaken.” — Psalm 16:8
Reflection
Life constantly shifts. Circumstances change. People change. Emotions rise and fall. But David declares something powerful in Psalm 16:8 — stability is not found in circumstances; it is found in position.
“I have set the Lord always before me.”
David made a deliberate choice. He set the Lord before him. This means:
1. He fixed his focus on God.
2. He prioritized God’s presence.
3. He trusted God’s nearness.
When the Lord is before you, fear cannot dominate you. When the Lord is beside you, insecurity cannot control you. When the Lord is at your right hand, you cannot be easily shaken.
The secret of an unshaken life is not the absence of storms it is the presence of God.
Today, whatever you face — ministry pressure, family responsibility, financial strain, or inner battles — remember this: God is not distant. He is at your right hand.
Application
1. Start today by intentionally acknowledging God in prayer.
2. Before making decisions, pause and ask, “Lord, what would You have me do?”
3. When anxiety rises, declare aloud: “The Lord is at my right hand; I shall not be shaken.
Prayer
Father, I choose to set You before me today. In every decision, every challenge, and every conversation, be my focus. Anchor my heart in Your presence so that I will not be shaken. Strengthen me to walk confidently, knowing You are near. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
