Jesus speaks of a famine during the time of Elijah the prophet. He was sent to a widow from Sidon's Shrine to feed him. And Elijah tells the widow:
'Give me first to eat, then you will eat.in this case Elijah would represent the Lord Jesus, and the widow - the Church of the Lord.
1 KINGS 17. 9-13.
First, we must do everything for the Lord, then for us.
"Who among you, if he has a servant that shepherds or feeds the sheep, will say to him, when he comes from the field," Come immediately and sit down to the table. " He would rather not say to her, "Cook me to eat, warm yourself, and serve me until I eat and drink, and then you shall eat and drink." will he remain indebted to that servant, because the servant did what was commanded him? I do not believe. Likewise, after you have done all that you were commanded to say, "We are unruly servants, we have done what we were obliged to do."
LUCA 17.7-10.
God could do the work in us and without us, and it would be even better. Let us signify this in our heart. PHILIPPINES 1.6
