The youth department is probably one of the most fascinating departments in our church. We believe that the young people are the future of our church and we work to train them to be prepared when “their day” comes. The group plans to meet several times each month for activities and Bible Study. The purpose of the youth is to have good Christian fellowship, to evangelize the lost, to edify (build u
p) peers, and to disciple the youth. Please visit the youth page for more information. There’s no reason why learning about God has to be a tedious chore. We believe learning about God is fun, especially when he reveals new things about himself to us! The seven sub-departments in the youth department . Our Goals
SPIRITUAL GROWTH
• Salvation—to see from their testimony and conduct that every teenager has received Christ as their personal Savior. Romans 10:9,10
• Evangelization – train each young person to share the Gospel and allow opportunities to lead someone to Christ
• Service Oriented – present opportunities for service oriented activities such as team outreach, mission trips, nursing homes, Bible studies, church cleaning/workday, children’s ministries, etc.
• Devoted Teens – to encourage each teen to develop a more intimate knowledge of God. 2 Pt. 3:18

SOCIAL GROWTH
• A teachable, humble, obedient spirit – learning to honor and obey the authorities that God has placed in our live
• Responsibility – learning to respect others and their property, working together (carrying one’s own part of the load), cleaning up after oneself
• Friendship – making friends by reaching out to others, providing opportunities for small groups and socializing
• Character – attempting to develop qualities in the young people that honor Christ and are respectable.
