Saul said "I am from the smallest tribe and my clan is the least." God lifts the humble. You don't need to be from a big family to be chosen for leadership.

Saul was tall and handsome, but his real qualification was God's choice. Don't judge leaders only by looks.
*3. Obedience is more important than sacrifice - 13:13-14*

Saul said "I felt compelled." Many leaders fail because they fear people more than God.
