Why 1 Cor. 15:1-4 can’t be gospel mechanics.

Many well meaning Christians and unbeliever continue to push the false gospel (mechanics) of faith in the death, burial, and resurrection to be saved. They use 1 Cor. 15:1-4 as the scriptural documentation. This is not only confusion of what Paul is teaching but it becomes blasphemous when you try to make it the basis of salvation.

Nowhere does scripture teach that for the unbeliever to receive eternal life they must have faith in the death, burial, and resurrection. 1 Cor 15:3-4 is misapplied.

How do we know that faith in the DBR (death, burial, and resurrection) is not only NOT the mechanics to receive eternal life, but it is impossible to even be faith alone in Christ alone.

Example #1 In 1 Cor. 15:12 Paul is addressing some of the Corinthian believers. We know they are believers because he addresses them as believers. Paul is chewing out some of the believers because they rejected the resurrection. If these are believers who rejected the resurrection, then how are they saved if faith in the resurrection is a requirement for salvation?

Example #2 We know that Thomas was saved prior to the resurrection. Yet when he was told of the resurrection, he rejected it. How is Thomas saved (scripture tells he was saved prior) yet he rejected the resurrection?

Example #3 The thief on the cross was being executed for his crimes, he was a bad person. He likely had no doctrinal teaching. We know this because he along with the other mocked and maligned Jesus Christ at the beginning when all three were on the cross. This thief, as he saw the events unfolding, changed his thinking. He recognizes that the man on the cross next to him was the true and living God He claimed to be. Not once did anyone tell him about the resurrection. He simply believed in Jesus Christ. The thief had no idea about the resurrection, and it is not mentioned at all to him. How was he saved if faith in the re
